We stopped here during the day to learn a bit about this monastery's history and the people who choose to dwell there. There is beautiful craft being done here and they are famous for their meditative dancing which we returned for that evening.

the satra is very much like others. what i liked most was the monks's performance. i'm not sure if you have to arrange it beforehand, because we were a group, and everything with prearranged for us.

Sattra is one of the main attraction of Majuli island. Uttar Kamlabari Sattra is one among the top 3 sattras. This is Brahmacharya Satrra so we get the glimpse of the monks lifestyle too. A peaceful place with a rich history in the backdrop.
