Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

Such a beautiful garden. Beautifully set out and maintained. Wonderful nursery too. We left with a few hard to acquire plants. This place is a must visit for gardeners and anyone with an interest in the hobby

Located about a 10 minute drive west of Creswick, this beautiful nursery has a large, stunning vegetable and herb garden which is the envy of gardeners. The shop has a very extensive range of seeds available and the staff are very helpful, informative and friendly. Definitely go in Spring time to see quite a special place.

We visited these terrific gardens during the long weekend in March. The gardens were spectacular and well worth the visit. There is also a shop where you can purchase seeds and plants.

We have visited this nursery several times over the years. We have to be quite selective in choosing from the plants for sale as our garden grows in tough conditions with both heat and frost; however there is always something new to select. The display gardens provide plenty of food for thought.

Visited this place a little late in spring so missed out on some of its more spectacular displays but were mightily impressed still with what we saw.
The gardens themselves are varied and designed to satisfy the wants of a wide variety of gardeners from the traditional through to dry land gardens which were a little less formal.
We were visiting from interstate and had no intention of buying any plants but the nursery was so magnificent with such a variety of uncommon plants and shrubs that we weakened and purchased quite a number
All in all this place is heaven for the keen gardener and a pleasant place to visit for those just looking for a nice way to spend a couple of hours

Thanks so much. That's very kind of you. March and April are high points in the garden too as in most perennial gardens in inland Victoria.

Lambley is a nursery specialising in drought tolerant plants (very suitable for much of Victoria) that have been sourced from dry countries around the world. I have visited before, but my visit on Saturday was very special, as the owner took a group for an informative walk around the beautiful garden displays that are sheltered by neatly trimmed hedges and large old trees. He explained the origin of the plants and how many of them came to be at Lambley. The planning and planting in a number of 'garden rooms' is well thought out for maximum impact. The colourful tulip and forsythia garden was a sight to behold, as was the flowering cherry lined driveway and the white blossoming pear tree corner under-planted with yellow and white tulips and pale yellow stocks.
In the nursery there are a wide variety of well tested seasonal plants and an extensive variety of seeds for sale, all at affordable prices. They have a good website, mailing list and internet sales as well.

Lambley is always interesting, probably more beautiful in the Springtime. The plantings are carefully chosen. The garden is cared for a dedicated team and I’m sure that all visitors would thank them.

Thanks so much for your review. Late September and early October are a high point for tulips but like perennial gardens in cool climates the world over most of the flowering plants are at their best in early to mid-autumn. Yes, we are very blessed to get lots of kind compliments from visitors.

The walk through the gardens is simply beautiful. There are an array of tulips on display at the moment and I look forward visiting again later in the season to see the veggie garden develop.

The selection of seeds and plants is fantastic with some specials to be had.

A first for me, even though this lovely nursery is only 20-25 minutes drive north west of Ballarat on the way to Clunes.
What a wonderful place to visit, especially in Spring. The garden displays offer such a variety of colour and plant selection. The tulips are just about to burst into flower, the cherry tree line drive is not far away from flowering and the bees are busy harvesting the nectar from the numerous flowers and trees.

Whatever season I've been at Lambley Nursery, the colour and structure of the gardens has been amazing. Wish my garden was larger so I could buy some very special seedlings. Good luck all.
