Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Since we have the time, we went to a trip in Santiago and this is one of the highlights of the place. The falls offer some some awesome views and good pictures, you can't swim though which would be good on a warm day. You can opt to take a horse going up but the walk is not that bad either. Walk up was about 15 mins, spend around 30 minutes going around and taking pictures, and another 15 mins going down. There were clean restrooms available, as well as some merchants with food and stuff you can explore.

After a nice breakfast in “La Abuela” and a walk in downtown Santiago we headed to “Cola de Caballo” park. The way to get there is nice and green and hills surrounded. You have to be prepare to walk or you can rent a horse pulled taxi to get you to the top, but even from the parking place to the entrance is some walking distance. If you visit it on winter make sure to take your jumper or coat. There are some tables and grills to do a picnic if you want to spend some time with friends or family. There are many toilets and clean enough. You can find lots of small shops to buy souvenirs or drinks like micheladas or beer. The way to the top is nice and full of nature. There is also the option to rent a horseback riding. The waterfall is beautiful, I recommend you to get to the highest point possible and enjoy the drops and the sound of the water falling. There are many spots to take some great pictures. If you visit with children get ready to carry them as they could get tired. As the place is beautiful it gets crowd so take it easy, relax and enjoy. At the location you can also find a hotel, a nice restaurant with stunning views, a small canopy ride and a bungee jump.

Went with many friends to take a look at these falls. Wasn’t disappointed, they were beautiful. Also got to ride horses!!! Very beautiful place with small shops where you can purchase small gifts. Enjoyed it very much.

The park was nice. I'm not sure how natural the streams are, water was very clear. Shopping (small stalls) seems a bit cheaper than central monterrey. Waterfall was average and small. Was very busy. Watch out for the horses. Lots of activities. They had bungee jumping, tree top walk, horse riding. I can see this place is good for a day with the family. However, you'll see many stray dogs. Horses & ponies for rides. Snakes and parrots for photos. If you are a conscious traveller, i would not recommend. The highlight of this visit was the small bar/stall at the bottom. Which had crazy, huge cocktails.

I was very impressed with how clean the park was. The waterfall is nice but small. You can see everything in an hour. But there are nice picnic areas and grills which are nice to use. Also they have other activities to offer at an extra price like bungee jumping or tirolesas. Also you can rent a horse or horse carriage for 4 people for very cheap. But it is cheap because the ride is very short. It's not a far walk to the waterfall.

We visited this place last September and we loved it, it is a very natural place with a waterfall that looks like the tail of a horse, is at a good price the entrance to this park and you enjoy it a lot and you should take many pictures !!

Must see while in Monterrey, only about 35-40 away from downtown Monterrey. Only $40 pesos to get in and a 15 minute walk later you are experiencing a beautiful waterfall. Can also rent a horse or carriage if you dont want to walk.

The waterfall was okay; the place is super dirty littered with garbage. It is very touristy; vendors are all along the way selling goods, ruins the experience. You can walk or take a pull wagon to the top. There is a zip line like type thing that you can also take on the way down which looked pretty cool. On a Saturday it was pretty busy and hot.

Great site, in the mountains, beautiful waterfall, a bit of a walk or you can take a horse drawn wagon or ride a horse. Lots of families taking pictures at the falls. Nice place to visit when in Monterrey area.
