    Beautiful facility!
Beautiful venue and sprawling, grand facility. I visited for a wine tasting and lunch on a tour arranged by a cruse. Staff was fantastic and eager to answer questions. The tour group seemed a bit too large for the available staff who worked at a frantic pace. Luncheon was a two course delight that put offerings on the cruise to shame. Substantial and clever meal (I enjoyed a chicken thigh stew and blueberry custard). Those around me reported similar satisfaction with the meal served to our very large group. I imagine the restaurant is really a treat. The wine sampling was generous however the size of the group made hearing anything the staff member had to say about it lost to my ears.

    Disappointing
Expensive birthday celebration for 5 with a number of disappointing meals. I had the snapper 2nd most expensive main course behind the wagyu. Overcooked and dry. The vegan amongst us had 2 courses served without elements listed and had to ask for this to be rectified. Whilst they were apologetic saying there was a new chef overall a disappointing visit.

    Enjoyable experience
Really enjoyed our experience here. Beautiful setting and the wine tasting at the cellar door, led by Jade, was conducted in a relaxed, friendly manner; this personal service isn’t always evident in the big wineries so we really appreciated it. We had lunch at Isabella’s. The charcuterie board didn’t disappoint; quality produce and ample of it. Our mains were enjoyable, but the pork belly lacked crispy skin and the salad that accompanied the salmon dish was lack lustre. Across the board, however, the service was excellent and the staff very friendly and accommodating. We’d definitely return.

Pleasant wine tasting and restaurant experience for our small group
We visited Rochford Wines during our recent stay in Melbourne as part of a Yarra Valley wine tour. At Rochford, we tasted the cuvee, various Pinot Noirs, the Cabernet, the Estate Syrah, and another Syrah. We enjoyed a relax tasting at the wine bar, with the emphasis on most of the red wines. The group had a sit down lunch in the restaurant with a bottle of the Merlot Cabernet blend. Afterwards, there was time to explore the nice gift shop and the grounds.

Money Grubs!! Rochford estate you are a disgrace!! I’m well aware there are event coordinators at fault here also, how ever it’s rochford estates name on the building!! Rochford have always been below average with service and accommodating patrons at these events, how ever last night was next level dangerous and disgusting! Not to mention Brand Damaging! Toilet’s inadequate, couldn’t find anyway where to wash hands after exiting the urinals, urinals were nearly full of waste and smelt, place smelt like really bad sewerage upon entering and exiting, extensive wait time for drinks and started running out of drinks at around 6pm, food service was completely congested and under catered, unable to get any food or water without waiting over an hour. The car park situation was extremely dangerous and had no traffic management what so ever (to educate you, a young girl on her phone on the exit to the main road is not traffic management)!!! There was no lighting over the paddocks and I over heard people injuring them selves as they fell down ditches and into fencing! I know this for a fact as I had to assist a guy with a moon boot and on crutches!! My pregnant wife was in a lot of discomfort as we waited nearly 2 hours to get out of a paddock that was unsuitable for standard vehicles. (My car bottomed out across what felt like old dry tractor tracks!) Rest assured I’ll be making sure work safe and the council investigate this and that appropriate measures are taken to ensure your health and safety risk of a venue to everyone is brought up to a safe standard! Once again ABSOLUTELY DISGRACEFUL!!

Set Menu -$55 or $65. Very expensive for very little choice. I would normally only have one course for lunch, but you have to have entree and main or main and dessert. Too much for seniors lunch. Half the huge plate of mushroom pasta was left. While the pannacotta was 2 spoonfuls. No light lunches here.
No value for money. Entree was served with main course!
Staff were friendly and attentive but we won’t be back and would not recommend

Celebrating a 70th birthday we enjoyed great food and wine in a beautiful picturesque location looking out on vast areas of grassy hills and vines. Plenty of room for the kids to play while we enjoyed a post lunch wine tasting. Highly recommended.

First time I have been disappointed in the food at winery restaurant. We chose the two course menu. I ordered the duck and my husband ordered the 16hr Moroccan beef. They brought me chicken. I cut into the meal and could see it was not duck, sat for ages, no staff around. Had to walk up to the barista and tell him. After some time they came and apologised and took my meal. When the duck arrived it was luke warm and tasted like it was coated in pepper. The potato tasted like luke warm duck fat. The Moroccan beef had no flavour. For dessert I ordered ricotta cake from the menu , this confused them and they brought me the entree ricotta tart. No one seem to be familiar with the menu. When the dessert arrived it was not cake, it was cheesecake and a very ordinary one at that. My husbands caramelised banana was uncooked banana with toffee on top. Wine was disappointing, fortunately they threw that in for free after such an appalling experience. Wish I had read the reviews.
