It's just about a small, very basic and manual workshop, which allow them to sell each small horse for a fortune. The souvenir shop actually offers a large variety of items, not only horses.

Fun to see the making of the horses and browse the big gift shop. Went a bit shopping crazy. Dalahorses are always a bit pricy but still better priced then elsewhere Recommend a stop here
