Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This Peat-Bog was formed on top of a former crater lake, offering an almost outlandish landscape, and harboring a handful of very interesting plants. Access is covered by the parking fee at the entrance and includes a guided tour, which starts every hour at .15 min. Once here, one should also visit its smaller twin, the neighboring St.-Ana crater lake.

This was a phenomenal guided experience by a professional and engaging Ranger/guide. Ágnes-Katalin gave us a tour of the Mohos Peat-bog, with explanation of its volcanic origins, the uniqueness and rarity of place due to its microclimate in the remaining caldera of an ancient volcano. We were a mixed group of English and Hungarian speakers and she spoke in both languages. I can now Identify a few more plants and the next day was able to identify a cowberry miles away. Transylvania is excellent for its ecological richness and Mohos is a must see. The place is beautifully preserved and the photographs do not take the place of being there.

Beautiful place with some really interesting plants and trees, although a bit small. The guide was very friendly and well informed. Some trees are dead and look weird, but it is known why. With one parking ticket you have access for the guided tour that's hourly at past fifteen and also for the Saint Ann Lake nearby.

First you must go with a group, you just can't go tour by yourself. The guide gave us a good tour in English and told us about the plants and history of the bog. You walk across wooden steps so be prepared if some adventure. It was interesting and quite informative.

The peat-bog can be visited only with a guide. The tour starts and 10, I think, and continue from 2 hours in 2 hours until 18.00. The visit is short, only 45 minutes, but you have the chance to see carnivore plants and a volcanic landscape.
Overall, it's one of the beautiful places I have visited in Romania.
