Unique
Jul. 2019 • Couples
This is a very special place. Please note, it’s a short drive outside of the city and the other are purely ground. Unique experience in many ways. Argentinians get charged less, but remember, foreigners don’t pay 21% taxes when traveling within the country, so I would stop complaining.

Scary experience
Dec. 2019 • Friends
It was not one of the best experiences in Buenos Aires. To tell you, it's rather embarrassing to see sleeping animals so humans can take pictures. Because we have been curious to see such a place, ethically and sentimentally we are not comfortable with such a situation. Some animals in small cages, with no room to move perfectly and fully. Very sad to see animals like lions, lionesses, tigers, baby tigers, even elephants with chains or collars tied to the wall or sleeping on tables. We have not had the courage to feed ourselves on the spot.

Animal cruelty!!!

This place should be closed down.
Animals are drugged in order for tourists to ride them. Since when it is ok to sit on a lion? If you love animals please dknt go there!

Good day trip from BA
May 2019 • Solo
Not the cleanest and honestly stinks at a few spots. But it is a (private) zoo, so go with realistic expectations. Having said, the place provides decent animal interactions, especially with the big cats. They had cages with tiger/lion cubs and dogs, with the latter acting alpha.(amazed the heck outa me lol)

Tips:
1. Zoo Lujan opens at 9am. Get there early to beat the crowd.

2.If visiting from BA and don't have a rental car, fabe bus is a good option Costs about AR $150($9) each way and starts near Obelisco/Cerrito and Sarmiento

Do not visit this zoo
Feb. 2018 • Friends
I went to the zoo without researching first about the conditions of care to the animals. It was very hot in the daytime. Poor trees shades near the cages, which leads me to believe that the animals are overheated during the day. In the cages we can enter (lions and tigers) many of them looked doped. The animals have no reaction to see a human being approach, they are always lying down. Bears have vicious behaviors, such as trying to suck on a bottle next to the glass even without anyone feeding it, and brown bears are waiting for snacks all the time. After I went, I cried. I cried with regret that I had appeared and felt sorry for the animals that seemed to be half dead rather than alive. Without life, without spirit, without actions.

Great Place!
Jul. 2018 • Family
It seems a little dirty. That’s mostly because of all the ducks running around and a lot of the place is not paved. The animals themselves are very well taken care of and they seem much happier than at a normal zoo where they’re always just laying around. They were all very active when we went and interacting with the zoo employees. We fed bears, lions and tigers. Got to take pictures with the lions and tigers. They were very calm but were alert. I highly doubt they were drugged. They raise them from babies and tame them by raising them with dogs. Very neat place. One of a kind experience.
