The gardens are a delight to the eye and give a good overview of the biodiversity od the Swiss Jura as well as paying tribute to pioneering botanists.

the botanic garden in Porrentruy is one of the oldest in Europe, and still today it is a nice and quiet place, worth a visit and a little rest.

800 of the 2400 species of plants that nature provides from the plain up to the top of the Jura are displayed and commented. Nice shadowy places under very very old trees. Wonderful!

The gardens are relatively compact but jam packed with exotic plants, flowers and cacti. Perfect for those who want to see a botanical garden without walking kilometres!
