Well worth a walk through the woods, especially to see the huge boulders, which are quite unusual but also quite impressive. Enjoy an explore. We had beautiful weather, which really made our experience very enjoyable

Lovely crepe and refreshments in the garden with friendly service. However, need to give the garden seating a bit of a make over. Shabby Plastic chairs and tables an uneven ground, there is going to be an accident soon.

A surprisingly busy little town. Nice area, lake OK, woodland walks are very pleasant but not as tranquil as some of the blurb would suggest.

Great place, free to enter. Lovely boulder strewn forest which looks like something out of 'The Hobbit'. Huge ferns, gigantic glacial boulders covered in moss and a river running through it. Great for walking with the kids (or the dog) and genuinely breathtaking scenery. Cafe...More

This lovely forest in a regional park has a mystical aspect to it. There are huge boulders and trees covered with moss that add to the atmosphere. Just a lovely place to quiet the spirit.

Its a nice walk but a bit of a stretch to say 'awesome'. Rocks are big and have some geological history. You will find better walks nearby in the forests. All said a nice location and worth a detour.

It's a very different and spectacular place to visit, there are many forest walks and the massive rocks are quite something to see. But do wear sensible footwear as some of the paths are very uneven with rocks and roots of trees. Also it's a...More
