The area nicknamed "Clapham Junction" by the british is criss crossed by cart ruts worn into the rock. If you cross the ruts you can find the cave dwellings Ghar il-Kbir (the Great Cave)

A roman road leads to various historical sites behind and above the bay of Xemxija including a good example of cart ruts which are situated on the garigue beside a newly constructed block of flats at the top of the hill. Cart ruts can be...More

Very hard to find, for the enthusiast only. We took ages to find these, as one of our party was very interested in Cart Ruts. Interesting, not spectacular.

Fair walk and not easy to find despite paying out for a map from nearby visitors centre. Not sure that we ever found "Clapham Junction". Need to combine this visit with the cliffs edge which was quite impressive, and Buskett Gardens (but we were fed...More

The site, in itself, would particularly intriguing, as it represents a prehistoric mystery. Unfortunately it is not fenced or well kept nor is there any descriptive indication that may help appreciate what one is observing.
