Bodegas Altanza is een prachtige bodega waar je bij aankomst al versteld staat van de prachtige architectuur en de goed onderhouden binnentuinen. Special thanks to Stephanie who welcomed us with the wine glasses in here hand. She told me that in Bodegas Altanza you always start with drinking wine and we were even able to drink straight from the tanks!... More

We were shown around by Stephanie who made us feel very welcome. We were shown all areas of the winery and tasted wine at different stages of production. It's a very modern expression of Rioja and great to see vs all of the historical bodegas in the area. A calm and peaceful place with a wonderful club room, we thoroughy... More

We contacted Bodegas Altanza at very short notice to organise a guided tour. Stephanie was very accommodating despite such a last minute arrangement. The tour was very informative. The winery has state of the art equipment with an emphasis on sustainability. The Club Reserva we tasted was beautifully smooth. Altanza was a highlight to our trip and I will definitely... More

After Bodegas LAN across the street told us they didn't do wine-tastings, we stopped at Bodegas Altanza, and surprised the Director of Marketing and Sales, Cristina, with our visit since they usually don't take visitors Monday or Tuesday(she asked us to return 45 min. after we buzzed the door). Only two of us, she personally gave us a tour of... More

Stopped by chance after seeing this lovely bodega from the road. Offered an in-depth tour of the pressing facilities, barrel rooms and grounds. Told about the history and markets for their wines (surprisingly mainly to China). Hopefully more bottles will find their way to to the USA!

Very friendly welcome and interesting interactive visit. We were far from the business oriented group visits that we attended in other bodegas, and as such very happily surprised! On top of this, they do great quality wines and bio olive oils that are worth the stop !
