What do you want more than a guide who totally cares about his clients, loves his job, and shows you 1000 of beautiful fishes, mantas, sharks, and my highlight the swimming with the turtle! I felt super secure swimming by his side and we had a wonderful trip with Nevis and his son. Thank you so much! I can absolutely recommend this tour to everybody staying at La Digue, it's a highlight!

While being on La Digue I tried to contact Nevis Ernesta by sending text message and email, as we were interested in a snorkeling trip. I did not get any response - neither on text message nor on email. I understand he may not always be in position to respond immediately byt I haven't heard from him at all.

I'm sorry that I didn't reply to your mail. I suggest that next time you try to contact me a bit early so that I get time to acknowledge. As for the message that you tried to send it didn't reach me.

Great snorkeling trip. Nevis jumps right in the water to show you everything - sharks, rays, fabulous fish. Get up close and personal with a sea turtle! Great explanations, and a luscious platter of fresh tropical fruit for a snack. The only drawback was the boat was a bit crowded, but we understand that it's popular.

I chose a half day trip to Coco, Felicite and Sister islands, starting at 9.30am simply because the water is calmer, better in the morning and the weather as well. Was glad I did as it started raining at 1pm on our way back. This was a last mn decision so I did not have a reservation, but I went directly to the harbour where all the boat charters gather, and asked Nevis if he had space for me. But he did not have enough clients that day so he geared me to his friend Samy/Shany operating the small Simplicity Boat charters. Since I cannot find Simplicity boat charter in TripAdvisor, and since Nevis and Samy are colleagues and operate the same way, I decided to place my review here. I appreciated the fact we were only 10 people on this small boat which took us a different way, so we ended up snorkeling alone in most places. We had 4 stops: -off Grande Soeur island, over the coral barreer: even though coral is practically dead ( tsunami and global warming ) there are still tropical fish close to the shore like Picasso trigger fish, batfish, parrot fish, butterfly fish, black tigerfish, trumpetfish, etc, etc -off Felicite island, again over coral, and you can swim to that private island (small channel between the corals full of sharp urchins, and walk on the beach (which I did and where my fins were robbed. but Samy did not care and gave me a new pair) -off Petite Soeur, where huge granite boulders plunge into the ocean and harbor Hawksbill Sea Turtles and beautiful schools of fish twirling about. There, Samy went with us in the water to guide us to the good spots. -Samy decided not to let us snorkel off ile Coco because rain was going to start which I regretted. But we got close enough to take photos of this beautiful islet. This 1/2 day tour costs 50euros per person and includes water bottles or soft drinks. It can get a bit choppy so if you're prone to seasickness, take medicine before the trip.

We went on a snorkel trip with Nevis. It was really great. He and his staff are super friendly, helpful and easygoing. We had booked a trip in the morning but the weather was not so good so Nevis thought we could not enjoy it. Instead he took us out in the afternoon instead when the weather was better. He took us out to four different spots and we saw all kinds of cool fish and sea turtles and stingrays. Can really recommend this!
