Great picnic spot.

On a windy day the kite surfers skim across the water leaping and performing their aerial tricks. Lovely grassed areas with plenty of space to relax or play ball games.

This is one seriously big tidal lake… we’re talking over 4 x 2ks. It’s very shallow so best visited at high tide & likewise on a still day when the water will be crystal clear. More of a lake for splashing around than swimming it’s beautifully warm. Excellent on a calm day for stand-up paddleboarding and for kayaking. On a... More

The least people there the better. Just for the locals. A few sandflys, some stingrays, even a shark or two.

We were able to hire a boat from T-boat hire and we travelled. We headed upstream for a quiet 1/2 day of boating and fishing. The birdlife and other animals we encountered were never ending.

Often venue up to Lake Weyba for a picnic or just to sit and watch the world go by. Lots of native birds and fauna. Lovely to see all the different trees flowering.

Inland lake close to the sea. Has been groomed to fit houses along its banks but still interesting place.

Although the lake is very shallow, there is a channel for boats to navigate. It is deep enough to fish and sail, shallow enough for kids to play is safety. A great family location.
