Had an absolutely amazing time on the thriller. Bill was an great skipper with extensive knowledge of the area, blending his lesson like structure of the surrounding beaches with humour that almost had us forgetting we were on a 500hp boat. But just when you forget that fact, he takes you off a wave like never before. 10/10.

My daughter and I had the best time. It was super exciting and fun. We also got to see a lot of the coastline. Seeing pods of dolphins was such a treat. If you’re in Noosa and looking for an adventure, do yourself a favour a book Noosa Thriller. We can’t wait to go again.

If you're planning a trip to Noosa there are 2 high speed boat companies that will take you out on the sea for a supposed high speed ride. On is the Noosa Ocean Rider and the other is the newcomer - the Noosa thriller.
A couple of years ago my partner and I went on the Ocean Rider and we had a ball. It was everything it promised. A fast trip out along the coast, lots of fast turns, we got splashed, got wet and had a great time.
In March 2011 we went back to Noosa and this time tried the competion, the Noosa Thriller. We were really disappointed and thought it was a waste of $70. Yes the boat is fast and the boat captain/driver was really nice. BUT - the boat would stop every couple of minutes so that he could tell us to all look to the right to see some cave and then tell you how long it would take to walk to that point. Off we'd go again and then 2 minutes later we's stop so that he could tell us about a cove. Off agin then 2 minutes later we'd be hearing about the height of a cliff. So it really is a boat cruise along the national park coastline in a fast boat that stops a lot. The driver tells you lots of funny jokes whilst you're stopped out at sea - but we didn't pay for a comedy act - we paid for a thrilling boat ride. We did see some dolphins which was good. BUT we didn't get wet, didn't come close!. This boat sits a lot higher off the water than the Ocean Rider which obviously affects the thrill of the ride. The day we went the sea was not that rough, fairly flat, but if that means it makes for a fairly unthrilling ride - then they shouldn't take your money off you and not run a tour that day!
So if you're going to Noosa - avoid the Noosa Thriller and take the Ocean Rider trip instead !!!

The only good part about the ride was seeing pods of dolphins, but it was totally spoilt when the driver decided to do a doughnut right in front of another boat, resulting in a near collision. The driver of our boat did not look before doing the turn, and it could have resulted in serious injuries. We were all shattered after that experience. Also, he did doughnuts right near the dolphins, which I thought was very poor.

Horribly disappointed. I did the Noosa Thriller experience in 2014 and it was absolutely incredible. A super fast paced rush. We had a young man driving the boat, no talking at all during the trip just full throttle the entire time and knew how to drive the boat for the experience, everyone was literally screaming from the thrill of the twists turns jumps and dips and constant super fast pace over the waves. Now doing this experience again in 2019 it has been totally destroyed. We had a 73 year old man drive the boat and he was completely paranoid and micro obsessed with safety measures from start to finish. We had an unnecessarily detailed tedious 30 min+ safety briefing in the boat prior to starting which was more like we had signed up for a boating safety course and once under way the trip itself was horribly slow paced he never went fast at all, absolutely zero thrills, pointless, the driver seemed constantly scared, always stopping and starting asking if everyone was ok. Was more interested in stopping and talking far too much including making a lot of perverted comments about nudists and girls in bikinis on the beaches as we passed them. After my experience in 2014 in exactly the same boat I was so incredibly disappointed by this. The experience has been destroyed. The 73 year old driver should be doing ferry journeys or more appropriate trips for his driving and tour style not this. Just didn’t add up Can’t believe how horrible it was. Total waste of $70 each.

Just paid for a 2 hr whale watching experience and the driver returned us after 1 hr 20 mins, when questioned on the time the response I got was 'that's long enough'!!. It got even worse when I dared to ask for a partial refund for the 40 mins we didn't get. Wouldn't use again and I would recommend going with someone else who actually gives you the time you paid for !

Oh So sad. Very disappointed with the extremely rude presumptuous female attendant today
She presumed that my group of 4 all in our sixties were not able to cope with the jet boat ride!
She clearly needs training in customer service!
Even if her presumptions turned out to be true she could have arrived at the answer in so many ways where we all wouldn’t be wanting you to know this.
She became verbally hostile because we were offended! Ffs!!!!
Well done my dear friend who felt the need to do 20 pushups as we walked back past her
Clearly New Zealand jet boats and Tasmanian jet boat operators are far nicer and assess risk bir presume risk!
Stay clear rude dude dude
Maybe she should be pensioned off!

My partner and I went out on thriller and had a exhilarating experience. Bill was an excellent guide and we eventually spotted a humpback whale with her calf. Recommend trying thriller out to anyone. Seat was nice and comfortable also and I got to see another view of the Noosa/Sunshine Beach coastline.

My 9 year old son nearly fell asleep. He was asking me "Dad when can we get off I am so bored". The driver is 80 years old if he is a day (see previous review from another customer - couldn't agree more).
So disappointing. Absolutely nothing like the amazing experience I had in Sydney harbor previously where the ride was exciting, we got wet, tossed about and laughed our heads off. This "ride" was soooo conservative. Absolutely no chance to get wet as the driver simply incapable of the turns / speed. Such a let down.
Please read this review and avoid. I promised my son I would save as many others as possible from not throwing away $150 and losing valuable time on their holiday.
