We dragged 3 teen boys to see the monastery and they all loved it. It has an unassuming entrance leading into a stunningly beautiful courtyard. We were welcomed with a small piece of dried bread and olives and offered a shot of raki which the older teens loved! There is a highly ornate chapel and the ruins of an old olive oil press which are lovely. There is no information available on site, so we read a little before going and filled the teens in on site. It was €2 pp to get in but they charged us €8 for a family. There were cool rings and bracelets for sale for €3. Teen boys all bought a ring with inscriptions on in Greek. Cool but no idea what they say! Well worth a visit and there was only one other group when we were there. Finished off Vamos with delicious pita stuffed with gyros etc at Vamos pita for €3.9 each. You’re welcome!

The monastery is easily accessible by car. Very friendly people, small place with a soul. When we approached, there were goats grazing around. The monastery is tranquil, peaceful, we were only is when visiting, no crowds. The church is beautiful, the olive oil factory’s remains are impressive. We spent like 15 minutes there. Worths to visit, made our day.

This place is definitely worth a detour.
Doesn't look very special from the outside but amazing once inside.
We were so impresed that we donated some money towards its further development.
Please go and visit, you won't regret it !

As I like taking photos its a place that finds you taking shots every visit, it's a must to visit. Different times of day work well. Shadows great.

A must see, pretty near the beautiful village of Vamos. The old olive mill offers extraordinary landscapes to spend some nice time there.

We had a Olive and Wine tour organised by Vamos Tourist office and also visited this Monastery and the ruins of the old olive press. Our guide George told a lot about the history of this place.

We walked to this monastery from our digs in Vamos so overall the walk and the visit was a delight. The monastery itself is quite basic but the site is very peaceful and pretty.

We drove up and thought that it was closed but you can open the gate. There is a small entrance fee per person. It is impressive that the structures of the olive oil factory are still standing.

We tried one of the walks from the book of Vamos walks,most of which were excellent.
This particular walk had a fair amount of time on a dusty path including walking past the local illegal rubbish tip.
The monastery was fantastic and well worth a visit.

Very interesting renovated monastery with olive press and with beautiful grounds.Also visit nearby the church of Koimisis of Theotokou.
