Everyone there was absolutely lovely and so incredibly welcoming, as well as being so knowledgeable, not to mention how incredibly talented Yannis is and how amazing it was to see his music playing!! (Also the honey wine is incredible) We booked on to the music workshop and pan pipe making, and I would describe these as a total must-do if you're going to Santorini - it was for sure one of our favourite things we did out there, so fascinating and such an uplifting experience, and in a gorgeous building too.Visited August 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 22 September 2023
- Jillian J3 contributionsFantastic experience for a fun travel memoryMy boyfriend and I walked into this place as they happened to be starting a musical presentation. This became a highlight of our trip. The couple that run the tour have crafted such an incredible experience. Educational and hilarious. My boyfriend and I said this might be one of the best educational tours we have ever done. Had everyone laughing and smiling and we will take away great memories. We will recommend this to all our friends we meet traveling Greece!Visited May 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 18 May 2024
- Rory BittnerArdrossan, Canada5 contributionsAn entertaining, fun, profound, and entirely unforgettable experience for anyone! My girlfriend and I went for their "Mythical Music Presentation and Historic Tour" event, which lasts an hour and is hosted by musical director, conservationist and instrument builder extraordinaire Yannis Pantazis. It was an incredibly special experience that we shared with many other couples and families where we were each given a percussive instrument to play along with Yannis as he walked us through the myths that were associated with his ancient instruments. His energy and passion made the experience profound and also very fun. I only wish we could have had more time to enjoy the wine in the beautiful courtyard, or had another day to stay for the instrument building workshop.Visited June 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 10 June 2024

We stumbled upon this amazing setting on a day out in Megalochori. We stopped simply to have a look and get a drink in the beautiful courtyard. We had the pleasure of talking to Argy who told us a bit about the place and turned out the next evening there was a live music event of 'Echos'. We booked on for the showing and are we glad we did! Such an amazing event, like nothing we have ever experienced before. The ambiance and atmosphere of the whole evening was stunning. We had a bottle of wine and sharing platter which was delicious. The knowledge of the local wines was second to none and resulted in us purchasing the most delicious bottle of red to enjoy. The music and melodies performed by Yannis was so individual and captivating and with a variety of string and percussion instruments. Thank you for the amazing evening and to Argy, Yannis and all of the staff, this is an evening we will never forget. Scarlett and Michael

A garden of Eden. Peaceful and tranquility abounds. This garden is full of shady spots and trees that bear fruit along with herbs etc. a nice respite but no view from here.
We had a coffee and looked in the “museum” where they hold musical experiences. It was a nice place but the juice we had was weak and disappointing. There were ants everywhere as well. One we won’t be going back to.

Just superb. This is a lovely thing to do in Megalachori, Santorini. Even from the moment you arrive, and you enter the shady, beautiful courtyard, you get the feeling it’s going to be good.
Yannis is a brilliant musician and engaging host. The tour through the music and instruments of Greece is both interesting and entertaining, and the chance to get involved yourself, surprising and joyous. My husband was chosen as ‘master drummer’ which he was thrilled with. We thoroughly recommend it.

Our family of four (two girls, 1st and 4th grade) were wandering around Megalochori and stumbled into this gem in July of 2021. The couple who runs the Symposium were incredibly warm and welcoming. We had a great time learning about Greek words and local history, experimenting with instruments, and even building a flute-like instrument in the kids workshop. I would highly recommend this place!

If you didn't know any better you'd think we were long time friends with the owners. They were amazing and then they brought in some great music for our last night there. A "MUST VISIT" spot. Go for the history, stay for the show and friendship!

This afternoon music presentation and tour is such a wonderful and unique experience. For people who love music and culture and mythology, this is the place for you. Argy and Yannis are wonderful hosts, the courtyard is beautiful, Megalochori is charming and quaint. I wish we had been there on a Thursday for their evening concert/show. It was an unexpected highlight of our entire trip!

The entire experience was just magical. Our entire family loved each and every minute, including our 4-year-old. I went in with high expectations, and the experience exceeded them all. The music, the stories, the history - stimulates all your senses.
For us, it was a fun, family bonding experience. It was our favorite part of our Santorini excursion.

It was an incredible and breath taking experience. We played music together and were tought about greek mythology. Personally I am not a musician but I had nearly tears in my eyes. Yannis has so much passion in what he does, it touched my heard so much that he literally made me think about life. Thank you for that!
