Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A beautiful beach, a lot of coral on the beach which made it a bit uncomfortable to lie down.
Gradients slowly, so ideal with children.
Clear water and many people were snorkeling.
Quiet also considering the reef has a wind in front of it.
Parking lot and some restaurants on the beach.
Busy during the weekend.
Hardly any shade spots, the ones that are there are occupied early.
Recommended to bring a parasol.

Beautiful beach on the east side of Mauritius. Easy to find, nice sand, close to the Ile of Cervs. Nice place to stay for a day, not very busy, amazing water. We found it when we were looking for a boat to the Ile of Cervs and we spent the full day there, swimming and snorkeling. Beautiful!!!

Either you go for a swim, snorkling, SUP session, or food and drinks at the Bodega, this spot is one of the best location on the west coast. if you go SUP, ask for Stuff at the loccle school/rent shop

If you want to swimm, that’s the most opened and deep spot in the lagoon.
For instance a lot of swimming races take place here.
But if you are looking for nice corals, tropical fish and tree-shaded places, you should rather visit l’Ermitage’s beaches.

The best snorkel I did. Great pictures under water. The beaches south from St Gilles have coral protection against sharks and is safe. The beach is beautiful and I spent almost the day long under water. Great corals, pink, blue, white and lilac. Lots of species of fishes. I had a great time!

Because of all the review I read about this beach, i expected more. Is true that is different from the others beaches on the west coast of the isle, but for me is nothing amasing. In advance, the sunset is very nice!

Beautiful beach bordered by the lagoon. You can swim away on foot. Wear a mask to see the beautiful fish. In addition we saw whales from the beach. Great!!!
