It is about a 3km walk to the waterfall must take water and hat And good shoe. The waterfall is not very large but the water is very cold and clear drinkable.

However, the trip was way nice and a great walk, about 30 min. each way. The road is easy to find but after you turn away from... More

An easy, less than a mile, path in the Koutsounari forest will take you to the 2nd larger waterfall of Crete . I beleive late May / early June is the best season to visit

The walk to the waterfall is through some pretty spectacular scenery. It's a relatively easy walk, but make sure you have good solid footwear, plenty of water and head wear.

When you are on the right moment you can enjoy this beautiful waterfall. You need to walk for a few km's but it is absolutely stunning. We were there in April this year. I suppose that the waterfall might be dry or dryer later in the season.

Been 18 times on Crete, and couldn't found it.. Nowadays there are signs next to the road... Although a bit hot (35c), it was a very nice (steep) short hiking trip. From the 'parking' up to the waterfall is about 1500mtrs.

There's more to a waterfall than just water, even when dry (roughly July to November) this is a marvellous nature walk. Discover the Waterfall of Milonas and meet aquatic snails, the prettiest poison and the first Black Redstart of the year: http://cretenature.blogspot.gr/2014/11/the-waterfall-of-milonas.html
