Long presentation, up sell at enf
Long presentation , you feel trapped as they lead through plants , btw covers anyhing one might suffer ( felt like presentation was designed so there will be at least one reason to buy expensive products at end of presentation). The final part is in the shop where you hear the prices, he told us he is giving a special 20% discount reserved only for sri lankans which we almost fell for, but then we over heard same 20% discount offered to others by other salesmen clearly not sri lankans., moment we questioned this and pointed out the credibilty of the presentation is in questionable, we were rapidly escorted out of the shop so other shoppers wont hear us. Waste of time when there are so many genuine attractions SL has to offer

    Worst and believe me”DONT BUY”
My tour trip company arranged and this place is not at all worth it. They tell you only specific things, after learning that you are interested in them. Finally they will tell no compulsion in buying things, but they will convince you so hard to buy stuff which are really 10-20 times its original Price. In Kerala,I got same authentic one which is so very less. Sometimes the volunteers lie to make you purchase a bigger bottle saying smaller one is for kids.. Another volunteer is selling the small bottle to another lady, to make her purchase at-least the smaller one!!!! Don’t be fooled by their discounts and stuff. Visit their website before going there , analyse so that you won’t buy anything.BEWARE!!!!

    Tourist Trap
Tourist trap. Avoid at all costs. Claims to sell oils for every possible disease. One overpriced oil for every problem. It's an absolute con with overpriced oils. Strategy is to engage you so much that you feel compelled to purchase once you reach the counter. Targetted towards who are more inclined towards herbal cures. As an Indian I felt obligated to review and warn our fellow travelers. Spend your precious time somewhere else!! Don't like giving negative reviews to small businesses but this is one exception to the norm.

Natural Herbal Oils Product Garden and Shop.
In this place , a guider will take you in short tour in small garden containing some samples for trees and herbal and explianing to you how to mix some herbal and produce thier products to treat some diseases. Then he will take you to the products shop in the same garden The products prices are a little bit expensive. They are claiming that all the products are natural with no added chemical contents. In this place you might spend around 30 to 60 min. The guider informed me that the shop is a government place.

    Dont fall in the scam
While the garden itself was interesting, I was shocked by the high prices of their products. The herbs and spices are significantly overpriced compared to market rates. Unfortunately, I felt that the pricing was a scam designed to take advantage of tourists. I strongly advise potential visitors to be cautious and avoid making purchases here.

    Avoid the Scam
We were taken here by our driver during a day of bouncing between activities. I did not get a chance to read the reviews first which was a shame as I concur with other reviews this is a scam. The garden is ok however a number of the key plants are a single specimen in a plastic tub and just a few inches high, the fully developed plant would be huge. I have been to much better locations for this kind of thing before. There is no cost to enter however you are 'expected' to buy products at the end of the tour. I knew when we entered, nothing is free, and expected to have to purchase something. There are no prices on anything and it seems like they make them up. There is pressure to buy stuff. It is silly expensive even at UK prices. The average wage in Sri Lanka is 46,544 lkr pm. We were in a rural town a couple of days ago and a dress in a shop was 300 lkr. It shows how much of a scam it is here. I very much doubt it is government run as they say the @yahoo.com email address appears to reaffirm my lack of belief.

Entry Fee : Not aware as part of city tour

This place was in the itinerary of Kandy sightseeing and visit included a trip of the herbal garden with various trees used in traditional medicinal cure. The tour was conducted by a renowned scientist and there was tasting session as well of few medicine.

The finale was a visit to the herbal medicine shop for buying the medicines, oils, concoctions and other items. Costing about SLR 5000/- these was an expensive proposition. A standard 20% discount is available to all visitors.

The choice of buying is on you.

This is a knowledgeable trip if you believe in herbal medicine.

My dad when he was in SriLanka had frozen shoulder and none of the medications helped him. Fortunately a relative suggested the "Red Oil With Herbal Balm ( Siddartha Oil)" and within a week, he was alright. I have never seen my dad optimistic about a medicine/medicaiton like this before. This happened in 2015-16 and recently he had pain in his right arm shoulder and we ordered the same oil via their website. We wanted it early, So I connected with their email support person and he/she were really supportive and answered all the queries. Even during these COVID times when deliveries are a bit difficult, we received the package in 20 days. Thanks to Asendia and India Post. The packaging was neat and the response/tracking from Asendia mail support team was also excellent. Overall, I am happy because my dad is happy. Thanks to all the associated teams who ensured that I got this package.

I have visited this garden when I was in srilanka with our guide. On 3rd january 2013. First they explained us about the ayuruvedic traditions. And then taken around the spice garden. And we were taken to a school and they explained all their medicines and they gave all us free massages which was great . I had a shoulder pain. I just took their massage and it was gone. And then we were taken to a shop where we can buy their products. I bought the herbal wine for stomach disorders. Red oil with herbal balm for joint pain . Muscle pain. Etc. Sihini slim drops . I used it and I found great results from their medicines. And I again ordered their medicines. I really recommend this place for all people to visit.

The spice garden is very small with few trees.
But you are invited over a cup of tea to a lengthy presentation of all kind of herbal preparations :cosmetics and medicines;sandalwood oil, cinnamon oil, king coconut hair tonic, herbal balm, herbal wine, sihil sun lotion, lime oil, herbal tooth powder, sandal wood beauty cream, pinda oil-herbal skin ointment, herbal diabetic tablets, herbal gripe mixture, lady tonic, etc.
Then you are sent to the their shop with overpriced spices and products.
Not worth to visit!
