incredible works! Do not miss this if you are in the area. When you arrive you are given a guided tour with an explanation about the statues, which is very interesting and helpful, you are also given time to roam around.
The statues are beautiful...More
This is just out of this world.this man made all of these sculptures with a chisel and hammer, by hand. He has such enthusiasm and love for each piece. A place full of emotion and created so many emotions within me as I went round....More
This museum is situated on the right side of the road up to Anogia and there is a layby to park in just past the entrance.
The entrance fee is a mere 5 euro and for this you get a guided tour (about an hour)...More
Blown away by the skill, detail and dedication that is put into these wooden sculptures. The artists brother gave us a nice tour and I would recommend everyone visiting or just passing through the area to visit this place.
Visiting this artists studio is something that will remain with me for a lifetime...I'm in awe of his work, his talent and his humbleness! It's not the size of the sculptures it's the remarkable detail that you can only see if you visit.

I think it would take about 1.5 hours to drive, it is west of Hersonissos and inland on the road to Anoyia. It is literally on the road through the tiny village and you need to look out for it on the right if coming from that direction. It is signed and has a parking layby just in front of it. Also continuing in that direction you will come to the Idean cave (Zeus) so it is an interesting trip.
I don't know if there would be any organised trips there if you are not planning to drive, but it is worth a visit.
