About
Kabola wines are produced from selected grapes grown in the northwestern part of the Istrian peninsula where soil, climate, location and tradition give the wines their unique "terroir". Vintners since 1891, the Markezic family has created a distinctive style of winemaking - one that respects the past and looks to the future.

- Higgy24 contributionsBring your camera! This place is gorgeous! What a gorgeous place! This is a picture perfect winery! We booked the V.I.P. wine tour. The tour was short because of harvest, the food plater of select meats and cheeses made up for it. The food was paired great with the wines. The best pairing was the cake with their sweet wine, which both were amazing. We both really enjoyed their wines and olive oil.Visited October 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 7 October 2023

It is a fantastic looking winery with renovated stone houses with an amazing view of the nearby hills and vineyrds as well as the seaside. On a sunny day it is just gorgeous. Service was very good and professional, with each wind we ordered presented. We tried 3-4 different wines and had some cold cuts and cheeses and olive oil, all local and quite good. Just a fantastic winery to visit and enjoy with normal prices.Visited May 2024Travelled with friendsWritten 23 May 2024
- Sharon BHaifa, Israel479 contributionsa very good experience at a winery with excellent winesThis is a gorgeous winery, located in an old house overlooking the vineyards. We didn't want the whole (expensive) tour and asked if we could just come for a snack and tasting. The people there were very accommodating We made an appointment for a particular time and were graciously welcomed when we arrived. It was a drizzly day so they seated us in a covered outdoor area and brought blankets for our laps since it was also a bit chilly. We sampled several very good wines, and enjoyed a big platter of meats, cheeses, pickles, olives and bread. They make their own olive oil which I liberally dipped my bread into. Our hostess described each wine and answered all questions. We had a wonderful experience, drinking wines and eating delicious snacks with a view to the surrounding countryside.Visited May 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 12 June 2024

I gave it average because the winery is absolutely beautiful. However the service (if I have received any) is not very poor. I visited on my own in a not very busy afternoon. There was a local group there already, the girl in the shop was very friendly and chatting to them. When I walked in, she kinda just ignored me and looked at me almost like waiting for me to ask her how can I help u. I asked to taste some of the wines, there was no recommendation, introduction, story of the wines and the family, whatsoever. Eventually I just gave up, I sat outside and enjoyed the view finished the wine. I walked around and found myself a bottle of wine I wanted to buy. Almost like a self service. After the group was gone, I bought one bottle because the wine was good and I came all the way.

The experience was great. Beautiful location and the house. Wine tasting was fantastic. Due to bad weather, we were located inside the stonehouse with an old fireplace and the atmosphere was great. The cold dish platter with authentic istrian specialties was very tasteful and the wines were the experience on their own.
The hostess was very kind and improved our visit for sure.
We will come back again definitely.

The personel is uninteresed and the experience was disappointing. If you have wine tasting as an offer you should attend to your guests and change wine glasses. We drank rose and than 3 more wines from the same glass. The amount of wine served is another story. Also, at the end, they brought us the dessert and we didn’t get new cutlery. We used the forks we had in our first meal which was prosciutto and cheese. They really could learn a thing or two from Kozlovic about hospitality. The price is same as Kozlovic wine tasting. Not worth it

We have been buying Kabola wines since 2010. Today we had to pay a tasting fee even though we bought more than a dozen bottles. I found that very strange. It doesn't fit at all with a self-confident winery. What a pity.

Kabola is for sure one of the best looking wineyards and authentic istrian house / courtyard. Combination of stones, wood, iron, then traditional windows, olive tree, istrian well, a lot of old istrian details like street light, teraces... the place is really beautifull. We were surprised by the various sitting position this winery has.... from basic table, to wodden barell tables, romantic place under the olive tree, around istrian well, in shade under the huge tree .
We had splendid view directly on their wineyard. Service was good and ready to help. Good istrian malvazija, chardonay and seco muskat.
Recommend to book your visit in advance.

A very nice location where you can do a wine tasting.
We had a VIP arrangement.
An English-speaking lady gave us a tour and told us the history. Then in the backyard was the tasting while enjoying a delicious drinks board and an apple cake. You got to taste 6 of their delicious wines.
It was a very nice afternoon so highly recommended to go there.

The winery is situated in wonderful scenery and their wines are great, it is definitely not "confection". Main problem there is their approach! At the entrance some angry guests stormed out and told us that winery employees chased them away since it was ten minutes before closing hours. They served us, but were visibly angry at us for coming just before closing. We asked some questions, but they were not keen to anwser.
