The Jameos del Agua was the Centre of Art, Culture and Tourism to be created by César Manrique and reflects one of the cornerstones of his creative work: harmony between nature and artistic creation. The Jameos del Agua are located inside the volcanic tunnel created by the eruption of La Corona Volcano, one of the longest in the world, at 6 kilometres in length.

Great place to spend a couple of hours, it was very busy when we arrived and it took a while to get past the pay booth. The tutorial on volcanoes and the canary isles was very interesting but a little dated.

Most enjoyable day out in peace and tranquility. Very informative displays on the layout and formation of the Canaries. Reasonable priced cafe for snacks and drinks. Would definitely recommend it for families with children who have an inquiring mind.

We have visited here before and Jameos del Agua never fails to impress. It is just so beautiful and the infinity pool and the gardens are superb. The cave with the beautiful white crabs is spectacular. This is a must visit.

There are busses from the town that go to the area. The bus timetables are easy to read so you can find the time there. If not, ask one of the excursion shops, they speak good English and are happy to help - not trying to be... More
