You should get the audio tour in the language of your choice. It was very helpful to hear the background and history of this place. Especially the story behind the Mitterand/Bush meeting here. This was a nice break from the sun and can be combined...More

To understand Martinique, one has to visit a plantation and this is one of the best. The buildings are well restored and the gardens and plantations are magnificent. An audio guide is provided, allowing you to go at your own pace to view the machinery,...More

The domain is not only interesting for his rhum fabrication but also for its exhibitions. Marvellous sculptures on the park and exhibitions fromage the Pompidou Center. Also interesting for the secret meeting between G.Bush and Mittérand to create the peace after the golf war.

Nice way to spend a few hours. Pretty grounds with a small but unusual outdoor art area. Little ones will be bored.

I don't remember seeing any. Most visitors had rented cars or came in on tour buses. The area is pretty remote, there were no taxis waiting.
