Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The area is beautiful views but the surroundings are full of weeds and weeds and graffiti and trash. Difficult access and the thalaia has stairs to climb, which move and there can be at any time an accident. I thought it was a dangerous place.

Great place for a panoramic view of the northeast tip of Mallorca and surrounding Mediterranean Sea. They have only two parking spots near the stairs to the tower so you must park along the road and walk up. The road is very curvy and has more potholes than pavement. It’s a treat to take in the view, and definitely worth the trouble. Take great care especially when descending the stairs below the tower. Those stairs are super slippery. Definitely do not climb the stairs in the rain.

Good viewpoint. Lots to see. Unfortunately thieves stole money out of our vehicle whilst we were out of site - they took cash only and left the wallet empty. They were driving a silver Renault scenic - beware

For us it is a mandatory stop on the way to Cap de Formentor, the views are fantastic, you can see the cliffs and the blue sea, even though it is always very crowded up there. You can enjoy a deep peace that only the immensity of the sea can give. A Lot of people avoid to climb the long stairs, but we recommended doing it.

Ended up here by accident. I just gate heights so when we hit the road up my eyes were closed!
At the top we got out and walked along the path to the summit. Must own up, half way up Igot jellied legs and durrendered!
Fantastic views. Well worth the visit.
You can go further, up the zig zag road to the tower at the top. Obviously, I didn't do this.
Then back for the twisty roads. Was it an attractive journey? No idea. My eyes were closed again.
Glad I did it
The photos are great.

Great views. You can do great pictures, but drive all the tower, DO NOT STOP ON THE WAY AND WALK, thieves stole money out of our vehicle whilst we were out of site - they took cash only and left the wallet empty. They were driving BLACK BMW X1 - BEWARE, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

Follow the signs to Formentor, stop at the view point- the road between Puerto Pollensa and the view point is windy with a few hair pins. It’s is a fine road though with a white line in the middle. We were nervous about this drive due to other reviews but it really was fine. When you get to the viewpoint turn right up the steep road. It is a 2km drive and the road quality is much worse. Most of it is single track but there are wider areas for passing. At the top there are spaces for a few cars and to turn around. You can park here and walk further up the road to the watch tower. It is quiet, serene and beautiful. The views are outstanding and it is far from the madding crowds of the tour buses down at the view point.

Take the road opposite the mirador es colomer Formentor. Drive all the way to the top or stop where the road narrows and turns to the left (but is no entry) if it's busy. There's more room to park here. Walk up and try and work out what the abandoned (or unfinished) buildings were for.

At the top you get panoramic views of Majorca and on a clear day can see for miles! Climb the tower if you dare, not for the faint-hearted or if you're scared of heights!

For aventurous walking friends you can start at Mirador de Mal Pas for a nice walking tour for have amazing views over Polenca and Majorca; with the car it's dangerous, there are no barriers on the road, and it is only 1,5 km, and the wonderful nature is exceptional.

Firstly it's a very narrow and windy lane so be prepared to squeeze past other cars at best. Near the end there is only one lane and no side barrier so it's not for the front hearted. My wife did almost kill me!

However, once you're there the views over Pollenca, Alcudia and, on the distance, Menorca are truly spectacular!
