I simply dont get the nasty reviews here. True the garden is small but the shop is not a scam. I think the so called guides saying it is one probably have their own agenda. The products are genuine & lovely. Every time we go...More

Avoid this. It’s a waste of time and money. The boat drivers wanted 4000 rupees to take me around the lake. I said I’d wait to see if others came along to split the cost. They got aggressive and told me they didn’t want me...More

A beautiful lake with many islands. You can hire a boat to visit all the islands. It includes a temple island, cinnamon island. Also you can enjoy fish spa at the cheaper price. worth a visit while you are in southern part of Sri Lanka.

This is little known boutique complex which has a infinity pool , restaurant, various private cabins and a boat which will pick you up. It’s a great location for a chill out

We went to the spice garden near the lake, and although it was interesting to look around, all they really wanted was to sell us some over priced herbal remedies.

Cost 2000 rupees (£10), to go around a lake. The two stops included a cinnamon island which was nice, and a temple island which was very meh. Don't expect to see loads of wildlife. Overall it took an hour and a half.

There is heaps of wildlife in and around this lake. 3 hours should be enough to to see most of it. There are heaps of boats offering tours and most are pretty reasonably priced but there is a big difference between cost of the straight...More
