Spectacular old church

Has to be one one of the most ornate churches I have seen in Spain, amazing. Take your time when visiting and make sure you take in all the side alters

Has to be one one of the most ornate churches I have seen in Spain, amazing. Take your time when visiting and make sure you take in all the side alters

An amazing baroque church with much to see. To the side there is an amazing oasis of calm in a very tranquil quad. Around the outside of the quad is a selection of Roman artefacts which indicate some of the early history of the town. There is also a small museum, but it seems to be permanently closed now.

The Church of Santa Maria is located at Plaza de Santa Maria. The building dates from the 18th century and was built over an old Mudejar temple from the 16th and 17th centuries.
