Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We briefly stopped by this wooden church on our Lofoten trip. Although it said that the church is closed, the door was wide open so we could sneak in. Plain interior, but nice

We rented a car for the day off of a cruise ship and drove by this church on our way to Svolvaer. It looks impressive from the outside, it was closed when we visited so didn't get a chance to look inside, but from the sounds of the comments and pictures posted we didn't miss anything.

We were in the area (Hurtigruta stop) and saw this church on the horizon. Turned out to by a nice walk from the harbor and an interesting wooden church constructed at the turn of the century. Worth a visit.

This church is also known as Lofoten cathedral. We stopped there on our way through Lofoten islands and wanted to take a look inside. However I found the entrance price way too high (more than 30 NOK if I remember well) so we decided only to admire it from the outside. Nice structure from late 19th century. Cannot comment on the interior but other reviews suggest it's not special.

Nice cathedral but you have to pay if you wish to go inside. I don´t really think it´s worth the ticket... However, the architecture is quite nice :)

While the outside is impressive to see, it is not worth going in. You have to pay 4€ to see a very sober interior which you might aswell check on photos as it does not awe you.

Beautiful Cathedral in a perfect location. There was going to be wedding in an hour or so and we only had a quick look and a few pictures of the interior. The workmanship is
beautiful and having used light woods, it had a lovely, airy feel to it. I thought it was beautiful, personally
My grandfather was christened in this church in the 1800's which is what brought me to
see it. It did not disappoint.

The historical background of the church is quite interesting. Its impressive from inside and outside. And it can acomodade the complete population of the now village of Kabelvag. To mention that Kabelvag was one time the second biggest and most important town in Norway, next to Bergen. And the church stood right in the center of town. And is now outside of the village, that lost its importance, when its harbour was lost to the sea.

We visited in the morning, 40K to enter. The inside is quite plain but nevertheless beautiful and peaceful.
