We stayed at Solstrand Hotel for some days, and had various day excursions there. We also wanted a fjordcruise, and decided to do this as a cruise back to the airport After check out. So the boat picked us up outside the hotel around 10 in the morning, there is a quay in the garden at the hotel. We didnt quite know what we wanted to see, but the captain was local, and cruised between islands and some fjords towards Bergen and the airport. He asked if we wanted to stop for some fishing, which we did. Got some fishes, wich we let go again. We spent about 5 hours on the boat, just perfect before the flight back home. Captain ordered taxi from the pier close to airport for us. Very good service onboard the boat, with snacks and refreshments included, we also had some wine. Lovely weather tjhis day. So all in all a great ending for our Norway vacation.

We had booked a lunchcruise from Solstrand, as we stayed on Solstrand, and wanted to go out for lunch. Cornelius is a very good seafod restaurant located on an island, just in perfect distance from Solstrand. We started from the hotel about 11, boat was located in the hotel-garden. Captain adjusted the speed to be at Cornelius around 1:30. We stopped for fishing for half an hour (catch & release), and captain coordinated with the restaurant, postponed our arrival booking until 2. It was great weather, and most of the cruise was enjoyed from the flybridge on top (sun-deck), with great view all around. Excellent lunch at the restaurant, we loved it!! Also the wine reccomended was perfect. Boat was waiting, and took us back. Coffee and tea in the boat on the way back, also some snacks and we shared a bottle of wine. Great day.

We stayed at Solstrand Hotel for 4 nights, doing various day-excursions around west-Norway. This day we had agreement to be picked up by the boat at the quay just outside Solstrand Hotel at 10 AM. The boat was there, and easy to find. A very nice captain welcomed us at the pier, and wished us welcome onboard. Nice boat, and he reccomended us to sit upstairs on the Flybridge, as it was lovely weather. We cruised in the Fjord towards Jondal, passing some very lovely nature on the way. In Jondal we had a van waiting (we were 6 people), and drove all the way up to the glacier, passing some farms and small villages on the way. When up at the parking, we were met by a glacier team who we had booked a private guided tour with for just a short hike over to the glacier. We did not hike on top of the glacier, as we had small kids. Excellent service from the glacier team as well, very nice experience. Then back down to Jondal village, we took the boat crosing the fjord to Norheimsund, with (late) lunch at the Sandven Hotel. Beautiful surroundings, and boat docked in the garden of the hotel. After the meal, we had a van back to the hotel, and stopped at the Steinsdalsfossen waterfall on the way. Very special waterfall, where you can actually walk behind the waterfall without getting wet. Back at the hotel around 7. Lovely day with fjords, mountains, glacier, waterfalls.
