The hike starts with the parkinglot in Festvag. Walk 100 m in direction Henningsvaer, take a turn to the right and follow the trail. It`s steep, but the view is amazing.

We went to the first vista and it was already breathtaking, but going all the way up is totally worth the effort. You get a 360 view to die for!

I was really glad I read the reviews and saw the map in the parking lot because it was hard to get started but persevere and it’s worth it!

Many of the guide books and these reviews say it’s not that steep. Strongly disagree with that! The beginning portion is climbing up loose rocks with a somewhat defined path. There are arrows on rocks that generally show you the direction but it’s not a...More

This trip is beautiful, and it will take you about one hour to climb the steep mountain. The view is worth the quick climb, however there are a lot of people on this hike so do not expect to walk alone.

Approximately a 2 hour hike with a relatively steep ascension. The view from the summit is breathtaking! On the way down, you can go for a dip in a pond you pass on the way up. Remember to bring enough water. We find no streams...More

This is rated an "intermediate" hike by Norwegian standards (which means that it is somewhere in-between intermediate and demanding for just about everyone else). That said, it is a relatively safe hike with few places that are too exposed. Another thing to know about this...More
