We went there on December 2015 and I don't have enough words to explain what I saw there. We did`t see the turtles but I think we saw something better. We saw how the ocean shine with out any light without moon. An most better, around 2 am we saw how a huge moon rose up from the landscape. Once... More

The season to see large groups of sea turtles coming to the beach to lay eggs is between May and October. Despite this, you can be lucky and even in December, you might be able to see a couple of those big reptiles that come to the beach. It is better to come either early in the morning or at... More

It's great that the turtles are protected here, and that there are some rules for visitors to follow e.g. don't get too close, don't use the flash when taking photos, and stay quiet. Unfortunately the guides can't control everyone and people were taking lots of photos really close up, with the red light reflecting on the turtles' eyes, kids and... More

The turtle watching experience was by far one of the best parts of our trip to Oman. Totally recommended specially if you have kids.

Poor management of staffs there, they can not control a lot of tourists that shouting, shooting with flash, picking the baby turtle... it's too pity the turtles while breeding and surrounding with a human who want acting to social, no manner, no response to nuture, somebody touch it, selfie, pushing it... I'm disappointed this place... They should not allow to... More

An amazing place to meet turtles! We made the choice to sleep in an hotel at Sur, around 30 km from Turtle beach. Then you will save a lot of money, you will only have to pay for the evening visit of this area. Nice guided tour wih explanations of local guide.

Location of Resort is excellent and it has a lovely private beach. But the quality of service & food is average. There is very little to eat for vegetarians

For photo opportunities an early morning visit is the best. Saw a huge turtle crossing the beach all the way to the ocean. Added bonus was being on the beach for sunrise and observing a few baby turtles finding their way over the sand.
