Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I believe this beach has been manicured and prepared in order to serve as one of the routine stops for the captain cook cruise ships. As such it contains a number of lounge chairs, hammocks and manicured lawn. It’s fine to use outside of the infrequent cruise ship visits. It’s adjacent to the nanuya island resort.

The beach itself is long with white sand. It’s position within the blue lagoon means the sea is invariably calm and perfect for swimming.

No cost to use it.

A number of boats seem moored off it and I think this area is a common one for boaties.

The Blue Lagoon Resort is on an incredible beach with out of this world views with a great staff and some of the best food in Fiji. The dive shop is staffed by 2 great divemasters Manny and Johnny. My girlfriend finished her advanced open water with Manny and he was awesome. He really restored he confidence after a less than stellar experience at Barefoot Manta. Dedicated dive boat, great equipment from what I saw it was all new and well maintained. Great dives!

2 things they could change.
1 get rid of that horrible inflatable slide. It is hardly used and it is a complete eyesore on a breathtaking view, it almost ruins it. Boats naturally have to be in your view but a giant inflatable slide sitting in the middle of every picture is horrendous.
2. The snorkling off the beach is wonderful and can rival many dives but I think the resort could do a lot more to educate guests on proper protocol with the reef. A lot of people were standing on live coral, breaking it off and damaging the reef. It truly is a great reef with abundant life between 1-5 meters but it isn't going to stay that way with a lot of the behaviors I saw from guests. Perhaps require an orientation snorkel for people just arriving. Hard corals grow slowly, a misplaced fin can kill years of growth in an instant.
Overall Blue Lagoon is almost perfect for the price. Those 2 tweaks would make it so. The food is remarkably good for its remote location and the price.

If you're not interested in the location per se, ie you don't care about the movie and just want to snorkel, don't bother.

white sandy beach with best snorkel in shallow waters with colorful fish. kids loved feeding the fish and making sand castles on the beach. a short walk walk to our resort was a added advantage for us.

A must place to see! One of the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen.
Blue Lagoon Beach, the real deal. This is the beach featured in The Blue Lagoon Movie(1980).
The Blue Lagoon Beach is not located on the same island where The Blue Lagoon Resort is located, the beach is located on Nanuya island.
Water is incredibly blue and clean, you can snorkel and see a variety of colourful fish and corals. Best time of the day is when the tide is low.
The area and beach are owned by The Blue Lagoon cruises, they let tourist use the area while there are no ships docked. Ships at this time of the year (March) are there on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

This is the Beach from the movie "Blue Lagoon".
The most beautiful beach I have ever seen. Blue clean waters, colourful corals and fish, a free wonderful place to snorkel. Best time to snorkel is during the low tide.
The beach is owned by Blue Lagoon Cruises, they dock their ships on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, they ask the tourist not to be there on those days.
A must see place if you are in the Yasawa Islands!
