Whale watching from Dalvik close to Akureyri north Iceland with Arctic Sea Tours is adventure on sea. Great sighting success and five stars on TripAdvisor. Whale watching takes place in the picturesque landscape of Eyjafjordur and fishing inside the...more
We took the whale watching tour from Dalvik, the one with the fast boat (1.5h tour). It was absolutely breathtaking! We saw plenty of whales within reach. I would say - about twenty of them. The staff was great, and the entire experience is a...More
There were a lot of people in the building getting ready for the excursion. The staff was very organized, and everyone got their coveralls and walked to the dock. We had an ontime departure of 9 AM. It takes about 40 minutes to get to...More
We took a whale-watching trip from Dalvik and it was wonderful! We are a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 boys, ages 10 and 11). We saw many humpback whales, puffins, and other birds. A highlight of our Iceland trip.

We had an amazing experience. The operation ran smoothly, professionallly and well equipped. Our Captain and Guide were terrific and very experienced. We saw many humpbacks and the crew paid attention to details with good orientation to the ship, the fjord and what to expect...More
Just before 12 o’clock all passengers were given warm and waterproof overalls to ensure we would stay warm (remember 5 degrees Centigrade and an arctic gale is bone chilling cold indeed). After going out onto the fjord (Eyjafjördur) the crew and passengers were on the...More
We chose this as an optional activity from our guided tour around Iceland. We dressed up in big orange suits, which kept us warm and dry. We also wore life jackets for safety. This company is diligent about making sure you are prepared properly before...More
We took the fast boat. After 10` we were surrounded by 4 whales, we saw dolphins and puffins as well. Very comfortable boat with a limited number of passengers. Good overalls. Very helpful and professional staff.
Worth every penny! We saw three humpback whales up close! The staff was really professional, fun and gave small, interesting lectures while we were travelling to see the whales. The gear provided was excellent as well. Had a great time here!
Great time in the Dalvik bay area with Arctic Sea Tours. We saw some Humpback's swim right next to our boat, which is a great sight to see. Tour was well organized (departure on time, warm overall, hot coco and a cinnamon cookie to go),...More

We do not go out in bad weather but the sea conditions do vary depending in wind and the direction of the wind. We are always inside the fjord watching whales. We have two boats one 15 meters long and other 20 meters. We can not guartantee people not getting sea sick because that does vary between individuals.
