Eisenbahnweld is curiously unsung in the local area, and we came across a poster for it quite by chance. On a hot summer's day, 90 minutes spent browsing this fascinating and captivating collection (and the top floor display around James Bond cars and local alpine rallies) are very well spent...by 'children' of all ages! The largest private collection of H0 trains was donated by a German collector. That collection needed a home: MondoTreno was born out of this. A part of the collection is on display at the entrance. Mondotreno consist of more than 20000 pieces and 62 meters in lenght and is one of the largest miniature railway collection in Europe. There are numerous castles and fortress (exact copy of the real ones in Alto Adige South Tyrol) but also curious details such as accident on the road, outdoor concert and the nostalgic Renon train. Our family has been going to the Train World every summer for the last few years and we always enjoy it immensely. It probably helps that we have been holidaying in the Alto Adige (Süd Tyrol) for the last 15 years and therefore the 1st floor reproduction of all the valleys of this region are always a pleasure to see....
