Firstly this place is not actually a 'factory' as no manufacturing goes on here. Those hoping to see the process of how rose oil is extracted from the harvested flowers and used to make products will be disappointed.

The focal point is a shop selling a range of nice (albeit slightly expensive) rose oil based products. There is a room adjoining the shop with a few information boards outlining the history of the family business and some examples of the traditional equipment used but it seems most of the building is actually a home (presumably belonging to the current family generation owners) which sits above.

On entry, the girl at the front desk greeted us and offered to show us around (which turned out to be just that one room) then proceeded to give what sounded like a scripted, almost robot-like monologue which no doubt all visitors get. Nonetheless, some of the stuff mentioned was genuinely interesting but unfortunately most of it came across more like a sales pitch of the different products sold there.

Overall, bit of a tourist trap vibe around it but entry is free and worth a drop in if you are passing by and have an interest. Definitely not worth going out of your way for though.

Great to experience! We had free tour which totally worth the time we spent there! I Loved the rose products shop! Rose chocolates, rose face toner, rose candles, rose face cream, soap, liquer, wine , vinegar, and other cosmetics were perfect!

When I've been told I'm about to visit the factory of roses my expectations were high. Extremely high.

The visit was short and so does the explanation, though products were cool to learn about.

There are candies for kids in case you are interested to drug them with you :)

I looked this up on the internet before we left and found it was open 7 days a week from 9-5. So when we arrived at 9.15 am and it was closed I was feeling disappointed, however as I am the sort of person that doesn’t give up easy I noticed there are two signs, one for the rose factory and one for Agros rose co-operative. I decided to follow the signs for the other rose factory and I was successful. We were greeted by Chris who explained that he is open 365 days a year. He was very friendly and provided samples of everything they make. He pointed out that his products are organic indicating that the other company may not be. This is a family run business and the products were superb. Fully recommend the extra few 100 metres to get there.

Very welcoming staff, we are able to take a glimpse into the history of making rose products and were able to have a sample of the rose chocolate they make (it's amazingly rich). The entire place smelled like roses too. It was great!

We found this village last year and just had to return, Agros is a lovely village hiding in the Troodos mountains. There are a few tavernas and the rose factory which is well worth a visit. The owner Christakis was pleased to show us all his products made from the damask rose which are growing on the hillside all around. These include candles, liqueurs, chocolates etc all of which are reasonably priced. Well worth a visit.

This was one of MY personal favourite places we visited when we went as part of a group with Thomson.. it was the 1 day Authentic Cyprus...I do recommend this whole day trip...good value for 75Euros.....I did not know WHAT to expect i'm sure, but once we gathered in the foyer to have the history related, samples, numerous shared....cosmetics and candles, wines, brandy's, sweets , all made from distillation of a certain rose petal, grown in abundance there...it is an absolute delight on the censes. The history was related by the daughter of the founder of this ''Emporium of Delights''...she was a real gem, passionate about the history and loved it if you showed an interest. I in particular, LOVED the cosmetics, I use a very expensive range of products from Paris, called, Gatineau...but I promise you, this compares favourably in quality and results. I am delighted that they do an on line ordering service so I can stock my favourites. But I will be buying plenty more when I re-visit next year...I bought lots n lots of items this time around, Gifts that family have said are amazing. Pay this place a visit...like me, you may not want to come home again....Agros is such a beautiful village, truly where I would love to live. It is so ''back in time'' with plenty to see and visit.

I found this rose factory online and decided to have a day out to visit. After nearly a 2 hour journey through beautiful mountainside taking in quaint villages, the rose factory was a bit of an anticlimax as there weren't many roses as the start of the season had been delayed 3 weeks. I was greeted by a very friendly enthusiastic family member who gave me a 5 min personal chat about the processes involved within the factory and their was generous tasting of their rose flavoured products. There was a nice little gift shop attached with a variety of quite pricey products. Overall, I felt that I was out of the 'factory' very quickly and I felt more could have been done to capture a tourist for longer......maybe a walk through the rose fields?.......maybe seeing the distillation process?......maybe pour your own rose candle which you could collect on leaving for a small price? However, for a FREE attraction it was fine.

I found out about this place online so we stopped there. I'm in love with their products now. They make everything themselves with their roses they grow out bank on the mountain. They don't use chemicals. It's a small family business. The smell is amazing. They even have an online store. When you arrive you get a small tour and they tell you a brief history and how they make things. I'm officially a fan!
