This place was more scenic than we expected. It was lovely to walk around and admire it from different angles. There’s even a small beach there. But we didn’t try it.
The seas weren’t too rough in August. I can imagine the bay transforms in January and looks even more enigmatic.

If you ask a number of Barbadians if they have ever been to Little Bay quite a few do not even know where it is located. Every now and then I go down to Little Bay, park on the rocky access road, walk down and settle down in the pool like sea and watch the waves pounding on the nearby cliffs. Sometimes I can be by myself for more than an hour. At other times I have to share my serenity with families from the nearby village and some tour groups. One of my favourite spots on our Island.

We stopped here to look around during an island tour with Carson from Carson's Taxi and Tours. There is a small beach area and you could sit in the shallow water but it's too rough for swimming. No bar, restaurant or people around, which makes this place special. We just enjoyed the views of the caves and the large waves crashing onto the shore, spraying us!

We visited Little Bay while we were touring around all of Barbados (the day we were there was Feb. 28, 2017). We had rented a home to stay in and then rented a car for our week long visit to this unique country so we were touring on our own - not with a taxi driver or tour driver. When we were on our way there (don't remember the name of the main road), a man sitting on the side of the road flagged us down. Thinking there was a possible road issue upcoming we stopped. Within 10 seconds we knew we were "had"! He was just looking to make a buck (said he needed a ride :) ). We gave him a couple of bucks and took off (after about 3 minutes of listening to him :) ). When then turned off and had ANOTHER guy try to do the same thing a short ways away...we just kept going this time! Sssooo - when we got to Little Bay we were a little unnerved by those whole episodes and that probably heightened our awareness. We pulled up to Little Bay and it was just absolutely beautiful (as with so many of the ocean views there), we parked our rental car and walked up to the cove area. It was about that time that we noticed 2 men (locals) walking up near our car rental. We enjoyed the view for a few minutes and then made our way up some of the rocks to see the views from higher up and the men moved a bit closer to us. We decided it was probably time to go (there were some other locals in the cove area just sunning and relaxing, etc. as well). We had our two daughters with us and had them walk closely to us and prepare to get into the car quickly as we just didn't have a good feeling about the whole situation. The two men approached us as we were making our way to the car and asked us if we wanted to "enjoy some adult beverages". We told them "no thanks" and got in the car and left.
The locals we ran into in most places of the country were very kind and, likely, these fellas were harmless however, we felt - as I said - unnerved by this and the events leading up to it in part because it's somewhat isolated.
I agree with the other reviewers in saying that it's beautiful - it was without a doubt. Just use caution (as we should no matter where we are).

We stopped here during an island tour and really enjoyed this stop. There was no beach here, just rolling rocks and cliff edge for as far as we could see.
It’s a great place to watch huge waves crash against the cliffs and cause geysers.
The only thing I would say marked this place down was that there was nothing else around. No cafe for drinks etc. But I suppose that’s not what you go for...

I hesitate to write anything about this place for fear it will be come overcrowded with tourists. It is an out of the way bay, a peaceful little spot. You must descend the hill and stand on the beach looking out toward the opening in the rock, spectacular view of the sea, especially when the swells are high. Tiny little shells on the beach. You have to look for them.

I am not one to shy away from local spots or be overly cautious, but this was the one place in Barbados that I was not 100% comfortable. My boyfriend and I rented a car and were stopped by two different locals looking to make some money by telling us directions and asking for a ride. They were very friendly and accepted when we did not offer them money, but we did not encounter any other locals like this in any other area of the island. So by the time we made it to the beach, we were a bit peeved about the situation. The beach itself was beautiful and private. Not really for swimming, though some locals were. We just walked along the rocks and saw the water spouts and some little fish. I would stop here on the way back from animal flower cave or if you're in the area and have the time, but I wouldn't make a trip of it and definitely don't stop for the locals, even if they are in the street. If you are short on time, I would recommend Cattlewash and Bathsheba because you can walk much farther up and down the beach and get much of the same experience. This beach was cool, but somewhat out of the way for such a short visit.

One of my absolute favorite spots in Barbados is Little Bay. Obscure and free from the crowds, it has everything you could want for the perfect place to spend an afternoon and bring a picnic lunch. There is ample shade at the bottom of the bay on the right side against the rocks to enjoy your food.
Located on the north east side of the island, you can reach Little Bay by bus - the stop is Pie Corner, but it's much easier to travel here by car or plan your day with your tour guide before or after visiting St. Nicholas Abbey, as it isn't far from there.
At low tide, there is a shallow pool where you can swim, as well as a cave you can explore. The blowholes and crashing waves with their explosions reminiscent of fireworks provide endless entertainment. I could sit and watch the variety for hours on end.
Take a walk along the top of the ridge and you have another wonderful vantage point. I think the view on the right side at the top is superior as you can see the cave formation and all of the blowholes from above as well.
Enjoy one of the most spectacular places in Barbados!

Popped down here on our tour of the coast. Such a lot to see, the rock formations, sea life, the arch, the waves, we could have spent half a day there. lovely spot to have a picnic, deserted when we went. Spend an hour rockpooling, there is so much to find.
