NOTE : THE CAVE IS A NATURAL SEA CAVE - IT IS SLIPPERY, IT IS WET, IT IS A SEA CAVE. WE DO SEND A GUIDE WITH EACH TOUR TO AIDE PEOPLE AS NEEDED. WE DO ADVISE THE ELDERLY AND THOSE NOT FIRM ON THEIR FEET TO STAY 'UP TOP'AND ENJOY THE SCENERY AND MAYBE A RUM PUNCH OR TWO! A Natural Wonder of Barbados not to be missed. Located at the most northerly tip of the Island is the Animal Flowr Cave where the coastal scenery is spectacular. The cave got its name from the tube worms that are found in its many rock pools, these are seasonal however so not always in residence, regardless the cave itself is still well worth a visit. You can even swim inside the largest rock pool inside the cave which a fantastic adventure all by itself. Make sure you bring your swim wear and towels. The views from the naturally formed windows out to the ocean are fabulous so bring your camera too. There is now a new restaurant on site and seating area with panoramic sea views, there is a children's playpark too so plan to spend some time with us enjoying the cool sea breezes and the fabulous views that we love to share with you all. Beautiful place to visit, stunning views along the coast and we had a fabulous guide who was very informative. The kids loved swimming in the cave and looking at the 'flowers' - thoroughly recommend this.

I felt like I was at the end of the world! Unbelievable scenery. The cave was very interesting but I would not recommend the cave for anyone who might be unsure about their footing.

This is so cool to see the ocean from the small cave and hear how it was formed... did not swim in the swimming hole bc not the nicest day but on a hot one I would have been in there for sure!

We were advised that we could get the bus all the way from our apartment in Holetown to the Animal Flower Cave. The bus leaves once an hour and the cost is only 2 dollars each. This is a great way to see the island...More

This is a great spot to visit in Barbados. The cave is amazing. But be very careful. The steps into the cave are very narrow and deep. The cave itself is a rock formation, and when wet - it is very slippery. Definitely wear sneakers-...More

Is it a suitable place if walking with a stick after a recent hip replacement? Been to the island 4 times but this is somewhere we haven't been to as yet! Many thanks in advance!

I took my nan who was using a stick after a fall and she was fine. There are paths, some are a little bumpy near the view point but if you take it slow you should be fine.
How much time should we allocate for the cave tour? We are renting a car for the day and trying to figure out how many attractions we can get to in one day :) Thanks in advance!

Good morning, The tour takes approx 20 mins (or longer if you wish to swim in the cave) Allow time for getting to and from the cave. Nearby attractions worth visiting are St Nicholas Abbey Huntes Gardens
What is the name of the tour you went on that took you to the 60 mile coastal tour?

It was the ''Coastal" Tour arranged by Williams Tours Barbados - well worth doing if you have the opportunity.
