NOTE : THE CAVE IS A NATURAL SEA CAVE - IT IS SLIPPERY, IT IS WET, IT IS A SEA CAVE. WE DO SEND A GUIDE WITH EACH TOUR TO AIDE PEOPLE AS NEEDED. WE DO ADVISE THE ELDERLY AND THOSE NOT FIRM ON THEIR FEET TO STAY 'UP TOP'AND ENJOY THE SCENERY AND MAYBE A RUM PUNCH OR TWO! A Natural Wonder of Barbados not to be missed. Located at the most northerly tip of the Island is the Animal Flowr Cave where the coastal scenery is spectacular. The cave got its name from the tube worms that are found in its many rock pools, these are seasonal however so not always in residence, regardless the cave itself is still well worth a visit. You can even swim inside the largest rock pool inside the cave which a fantastic adventure all by itself. Make sure you bring your swim wear and towels. The views from the naturally formed windows out to the ocean are fabulous so bring your camera too. There is now a new restaurant on site and seating area with panoramic sea views, there is a children's playpark too so plan to spend some time with us enjoying the cool sea breezes and the fabulous views that we love to share with you all. We set off to the Animal Flower Cave with high hopes but unfortunately the reality was a let-down. The guide that led us down in to the cave and cavern was not very communicative at all, although we could hear other guides had more charisma....More

I enjoyed this trip into the underworld. The cave was quite large with vistas out to sea. I’m not sure all the water was natural or filled up with hoses if I’m honest. However it was novel to swim in an underground cave and quite...More

We came here on a Saturday afternoon for lunch at the top and to visit the cave and swim. We paid $20 usd for two and a tip for our guide. There’s the option to have a full tour guide with in depth commentary but...More

Interesting visit to Animal Flower Cave. Good guide looked after us and was very informative. Walk along cliff top worth doing too - great views of the coastline.

The Animal Flower Cave in Barbados is literally the most incredible place. The views from the ridge are unreal and inside the cave is simply amazing. If you go inside the cave at a non-busy time, it can be just you and your partner and...More

Quite a bumpy drive to get to the most northern part of the island, but once there you must go to the Flower and Animal cave, there are no flowers or animals (other than a few crabs), but it’s a lovely place to cool off...More

Take the family to this wonder. Not challenging, a few steps underground (with hand rails) and rocky floor in the caves but when the sea is up, the views are brilliant and wonder is huge. You can swim in the far cave safely. A small...More
