A pleasant beach frequented mostly by locals
A pleasant beach frequented mostly by locals. Only a few hundred metres long between Le Peninsular Hotel and a row of beach front properties on top of rocks above the beach the other end. OK sand, not especially picturesque backing onto a small tree and grassed area between the beach and the coast road. Busy on weekends with local families. One cafe, Blue Bay Snack bar not recommended by many and Le Bouganville restaurant which is OK as long as they're not busy when you can expect a wait for drinks and food.

5 Islands Tour (with Aqua Soleil)
My wife and I booked the 5 Islands speed boat cruise with Aqua Soleil on 29th December 2023. Our two skippers/hosts were Wesley and Manuel who were excellent…really knowledgeable and funny. Great day out exploring the 5 islands (and snorkelling), with a really nice lunch, followed by the waterfalls. This day out is a must when visiting Mauritius.

I say, I say go there.
Don't worry, I may sound crazy, but I swam during sunset. You can see fish, marine life within bouys. You have McDonald's Bo' Vallon nearby for lunch or dinner. It's not to far from the airport so can be experienced before a goodbye to Mauritius. Sand is so soft that if you're dating, you can feel the softness of the sand whilst hugging and kissing.

    Popular Beach
We arrived in the early afternoon and the beach was very busy- it seemed mostly with locals BBQ ing etc. This was a launch point for snorkeling excursions. Water is clear and warm, beach area clean. The side of the main beach is a combination of sand/lava rock. Easy fish spotting from shallows.

Breathtakingly beautiful @ Blue Bay Beach
We spent half a day on this beautiful beach in the South. There are plenty trees with grass underneath - which is perfect for sitting on. Also benches and tables. We visited on a week day and there were a number of locals as well as tourists enjoying the ocean – which is perfect for swimming and snorkelling. Ideal for a fantastic beach experience.

    Great Beach
Beautiful beach, lovely clear water. Wonderful to swim in. Can also take a glass bottomed boat trip (reasonably priced) for a trip to see coral and fish, can also snorkel from boat if you wish.

Great public beach with change rooms, fresh water showers, and toilets. Also quite a few eating options so you can make a day of it. Great snorkling just round the rocks to the north of Blue Bay ( 300 meters north) just walk in from the beach

Amazing beach with snorkeling able from the beach with fish swimming around your feet as soon as you enter the crystal clear water. Great spot for sunbathing and some nice food carts outside

We have booked an east coast full day catamaran cruise on january 12th, via SummerTimes agency. Such a great and exciting day!
Started with snorkeling, then visited the old lighthouse at Ile aux Forquettes, then Ile aux Aigrettes, GRSE waterfall... The lunch at the small beach restaurant was good and tasty...
But the greatest impression of the trip was our Aqua Soleil crew. They made our trip enjoyable. They were excellent, very helpful, with lots of information about surroundings and viewpoints. Very good music on the boat, enjoyable drive, friendly atmosphere with lots of humor...
Good job for Fabrice, Clovis and Adriano! All recommendations for the tour... especially recommendations for the crew.
