Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This museum has an extensive and varied collection of crafts. As with most museums in Bangladesh, the exhibits could use some sprucing up. The lighting could be improved. The sign boards could provide more insight. But the vast array of objects makes this well worthwhile. Although the old mansion is not really furnished, it provides great insight into life at the time of it's occupation.

A 3 stories museum located in the old capital of Bangladesh Sonargaon. Nice drawings, wallpapers, statues, old villages and many others. Outer view is also amazing. February is a month of celebration for Bengali people, so all girls were nicely decorated with flowers.

It is one of the most popular tourist spots in Sonargaon, about 30 Km from Dhaka,Bangladesh. Artifacts related to heritage of undivided Bengal from the 17th century onward are displayed here. The old building (Sarder Bari) is under renovation,to be opened soon. New building is displaying traditional fabrics & ornamental house hold exhibits. Try to visit this place between mid January-mid February to avail Folk arts fair & Folklore festival.

The interior is under renovation so only exterior shots were possible. The building was a former royal palace and does have a bit of a 'wow factor'.

The museum ok. It stuck me as a random selection of old items. Unfortunately for myself there is very limited English to explain each item.

The place is big and nice. The museum were closed when we visited. But over crowded on week days. There are shops of handicrafts and jamdani saree. You can do shopping. But the food shop are overpriced.
