This is a place that is worth seeing especially if you are visiting Florence and you have a car. It is out in the beautiful Tuscan countryside which adds to the visit. We stopped as we were driving through Tuscany and wanted to get off...More

So many lives lost, lines and lines of graves, arrayed over a hillside in a now peaceful valley. An excellent memorial at the top, with a beautiful chapel and detailed WWII historical murals. All maintained in immaculate condition. A visit to remember.

You cannot help but get emotional at this site. A lasting tribute to our fallen soldiers of WWII. The more than 4000 interred here as their final resting place is a place of honor and valor.

This US cemetery gave me a story of the sacrifices many young men have made for our world during WWII. This memorial is very well done and I was impressed at how they honored each soldier buried there on their birthdays. This really touched my...More

I felt ashamed that though I'd been to Firenze many times before, I'd never taken the time to go visit the American Cemetery in Firenze until now. Guide books don't talk much about this and after visiting several of the American Cemeteries outside of the...More

Extremely well kept grounds. The ranger was very knowledgeable, professional and friendly. Was our second visit, but my sister' first. Very sobering experience.

Very moving site dedicated to those who fought to defeat fascism. One of many WWII sites in Italy. See recent guidebooks for descriptions of other cemeteries, monuments, and war museums.

The setting is quite serine and very emotional. It is kept in marvelous condition by the Italian Government and the sacrifice of these men will always be remembered by virtue of this site. Come spend some time with our fallen Hero's! You will not regret...More

The American cemetery was incredibly pristine, lovely, and full of emotion as we perused the writings on the walls, the church bells, the song in the air. Acres of our fallen, and a wall devoted to those who "sleep in unmarked graves." There wasn't a...More

The cemetery is very close to Florence (less than 10 miles). We had arranged a private tour and our tour guide made the stop on the way to the Chianti wineries. You could take a taxi or the bus.
