No real fight, no blood, it looked like some kind of removal show. Was there with a group of friends, no one like it...

Arranged VIP tickets through FB Messenger, free pickup from hotel included and payed on arrival at stadium. I was staying at Mai Samui Resort on West side of the island so was impressed that they sent a mini bus all that way. Mini bus was very clean and tidy with coloured lights inside, seat belts and good ac. We arrived 19:20 and were told to be back for 20:30 for the seating so had plenty of time to get a meal and drink in the nearby seafood court. Inside the seating was comfortable with cushions for VIP and there is a full bar service also operating with waitresses to fetch your drink. Evening boxing was very good with 6 bouts of 5 rounds each if full distance, you could also place bets with the slips being provided at the door. We left at the end at 23:00 and there was a fleet of taxis outside to get everyone home. A good night all in all.…

This stadium is very near the main road in Chaweng and easy to find. We pre-booked tickets and found it worth it as it was a very full event. The tickets were not cheap but is was worth it for the ringside seats as you do get some special treatment and are very close to the action. Tickets for fights seems to range from 1800bht to 2500bht per person. There are full bar service and a memorabilia shop. The fights were great and amazing to see these athletes compete. Highly recommended for anyone that are interested in sport even if boxing or contact sport is not your scene it is a great experience. …

I waited to write this review until I had been to two other boxing Venues in Thailand. When I saw those it made me appreciate what I saw at Phetch Bancha Samui Boxing Stadium. First off I am from the states so I have a little dough comparatively, and to understand this review you must know I am an avid fight fan. If you are not a hard core fight fan then this may not be the review for you. HOWEVER: If you want to see real Thai Boxing this was the place for me. I sat in the VIP section, comfortable seats, table in front for drinks, good service and a nice view of the fight. It was about $2500 Baht so I paid about $78 US for VIP. It was a little spendy for Thailand but I wanted to be a VIP (always do just can't always afford it). If this was the first place you went to you might not be all that impressed with their VIP but once you go to some other "VIP" sections which are not much more than crowded chairs in a higher place where you go get your own drinks (with no tables to put them on) you come to appreciate the couches, extra room, tables and service at Phetch Bancha. They treat you like a VIP not just charge for it. Now the boxing- These guys are for REAL! I saw 6 fights and there were 6 legitimate knockouts. The owners of the stadium are an old School Thai Boxing family, and this is a real Thai Boxing fight venue. These guys did not like each other and the fighting was incredible. At the other stadiums I saw guys laughing and touching gloves and playing around and at least 1 fake knockout (the Thai fighter was not a very good actor). I laughed out loud because the knockouts at Phetch Bancha were scary. You can definitely tell the difference. If you want to see some legitimate Thai Boxing there will be blood and hits so hard it makes your bones shake, kicks to the face that put people OUT and some guys really going at it who don't look like they like each other that much. If you maybe want to see a Thai fight but are not into the blood and violence there are some places in Chiang Mai that will put on a nice little show. Those guys really kick and hit each other (the bruises show it) but it looks like they fight each other all the time and know one another. The fighters at Phetch Bancha were warriors, guys entering the ring to fight, no smiling, no laughing, no spinning hand stand kicks etc. I am a hard core fight fan, I like to see aggressive guys going after it and that is what I saw at Phetch Bancha in Koh Samui. I have yet to see it anywhere else.…

The advertising activities of this business should be banned by the Samui authorities. This is number one annoyance in Koh Samui by far. Pickup trucks going around Chaweng probably every 3-5 minutes, speakers to the max screaming "Tomorrrrrrow night, Tomorrrrrrow night". Touts on the main drag offering you leaflets every 15 metres - you would think there are more of them than the tourists! Save Samui, don't go there.…
