Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Very disappointing. Myself, my partner and our shared five kids and got stuck in slight traffic and turned up only NINE minutes late only to be told our pre-booked zipline tour could not be done (after we had travelled for an hour to get there).
Needless to say, everyone was disappointed, especially as we were under ten minutes late. The people who worked there could not care less that we had travelled for an hour to get there and were very unhelpful and didn't seem to even want to help us make it happen. Shocking customer service.
We all left disappointed and they wouldn't even refund the money spent! We'll stick to the much friendlier Yarramundi one near the Blue Mountains next time :(

Would not recommend. Charged us to move dates even though it was bucketing down rain. Then told is we couldn't zipline because sandals weren't enclosed shoes. So had to drive an hour to closest town for a pair of shoes. Staff didn't care and told us to suck it up.

Hi Hayden,
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review and we appreciate all feedback that comes through.
In relation to the weather we will go out in the rain as long as it is not torrential. This decision is always made with the guests and also our team in mind having to be out on the course.
In relation to the sandals not being enclosed shoes, this is completely correct. As there are parts of the course where there is a small risk if the toes are not covered. This is part of our Terms and Conditions for all participants in which people acknowledge to say they have read prior to coming on the day.
After confirming with staff, we accommodated a booking for you later in that day without a reschedule fee and free lanyard hire which is something that was not mentioned in this review.
Completely understand that this would have been frustrating however we try to communicate as much of the Terms and Conditions prior to the booking (including when people book online) to avoid situations like this occurring.
Understandably we were not able to provide the memorable experience we would have hoped for.
Once again thank you for the time leaving this feedback.
Warmest regards,
Andrew

Had a great experience. The two guides were friendly and knowledgeable. They were chill and confident in a way that both calmed any nerves, but also made us (me and 9 year old daughter)) feel comfortable that they knew what they were doing.
The views were amazing, both from the Zipline and the treetop walk. Enjoyed the bit of local history we got during the tour. The length of the outing was just rigtlht - had plenty of time to do something earlier that day and make it to dinner that night.
Also saw a little wallaby and a wombat in the bush as we were walking back which was just the icing on the cake.

Hi LA_and_beyond,
We want to say a massive thank you for visiting and even a bigger thank you for taking the time to leave us such a detailed review.
We will be sure to pass this onto the whole Zipline team as this feedback and how much you enjoyed your experience is one of the key reasons we love what we do.
Thank you so much for visiting and we are so glad that your day was finished off with seeing some of the local residents out and about.
Hopefully we get to welcome you back for another visit soon :)
Warmest regards,

This as our first time zip lining and we thoroughly enjoyed it we are 53 and 54 and found it very enjoyable and fun. The two guys were very professional and great at their job. We had a small group of 6 which was a great number at no time did we feel nervous and the guys were very encouraging and put everyone at ease. They had lots of knowledge about the local area and the building of the tree top walk and zip line which they shared at the canopy intervals. Thanks guys for a great first zip line experience.

Treetop walk is beautiful and the view from the top is amazing. It was raining and foggy but when we were about to head back it cleared up, it looked very beautiful

Booked online and drove out from Kiama to do the treetop walk. Not worth the drive. The walk took no longer than 15 minutes. The views from the tree top bridges were alright, but you get a similar, if not better view from the Jamberoo Lookout which is just down the road and free. I would not waste the time driving out or the $24.

Hi mr_bill22,
We are pretty impressed that you managed to get through the whole Treetop Walk Experience of 1.5km in 15 minutes from the visitor centre. We completely hear you on being able to experience the view from down the road for free.
Our product isn't just about the views. We also pride ourselves on being able to offer people the chance to walk among the trees about 30 metres above the forest floor and truly immerse themselves in nature.
We appreciate you taking the time for your feedback and have a wonderful week :)
Warm regards,
Andrew

An adventurous Illawarra Treetop Walk 1.5km walk through beautiful temperate rainforest with 500 metres of steel walkway nestled in the treetop canopy some 20-30 metres above the ground.
The walkway culminates in Knights Tower, a spiral tower that rises to a breathtaking 45 metres above the forest floor.
Then there’s the thrills and challenges of two confronting swaying springboard cantilevers suspended 25 metres above the forest floor which take guests to the edge of the escarpment.
Most enjoyable n memorable experience on a Sunny Day yet the Treetop Walk surrounds icy cold buffeting wind🌴🍃highly recommended walk suitable for all fitness levels.
Welcoming Treetop Reception staff are friendly & helpful; adjoining Souvenir shop & Cafe that has well setup dining hall, offers lunch menu, beverages; visitors coming with their own picnic packs are allowed to sit at the Cafe dining tables due to prevailing cold wind.
Restrooms have hot water service

Is the walk in suspension bridge and Zipline suitable for pregnant lady who is in her 4th month of pregnancy ?
robmar55
Shellharbour, Australia29 contributions
The suspension bridge is ok but the zip line might be more restrictive. Better to check with management beforehand and I think you have to pre-book zip line but not 100% sure.
Hi. How much time would it take to cover the Treetop walk?

Yes the walk itself about an hour.

How many 'zips' are there at the zipline? Is it really short?
Mary D
Sydney, Australia79 contributions
3 zips and 2 bridges. The zips are not very long. The bridges are a little more scary. If you are after adventure, not so much. But if you are after a pleasant day in the tree tops and do the walk afterwards, its lovely.

Unfortunately there is no public transport to the Illawarra Fly, you will need your own transport.

Second question. Can I wear my bumbag?
I-FlyTTW
Robertson, Australia
Hi Sheila,
No loose items are to be taken on the course. Given that its in a bumbag, it may obstruct the harness we put you in. If it does, our zipline guides will be able to carry anything essential you may have. Alternatively, you may leave any loose items in our complementary lockers.
