Visited this place exactly during the one month harvest period end of April. Interesting to watch the men working. Entrance is free and you can buy local products with cane sugar (bolo de Mel, aguardiente, ponco)

Interesting if you happen to go during the production period which is from april for two months in raw. You can see the complete process. And of course you can taste and buy rhum! I recomend the 30year old rhum.

Calheta is small and very beautiful, this is one of the only places to visit, there is not much in town, which is not a bad thing!
