I rarely feel the need to leave a 1 star review but this place is almost comically bad. It’s €10 each to get in but that doesn’t get you access to use the toilets that are half a euro each extra. The place was almost deserted. The “theme park” consists of a few ponds, some (4 or 5) replica traditional buildings, some sad looking animals in their tiny zoo, a “simulator” ride that moves you around a bit while essentially watching an advert from the Madeira tourist board and a ride that claimed to take you through Madeiras history but was actually just a 2-3 minute trundle through some tunnels with flashing lights, mirrors, plastic plants and pictures of ships (no history to be seen). Toddlers may enjoy the playgrounds and remote control boats but otherwise I’d strongly recommend you save your money and don’t waste time on this place. The traditional houses can be seen for free in Santana itself.

This park presents several people with traditional know-how and a traditional Madeira house presentation. 3€ entry I thought it was expensive but if it is for paid people showing their know-how it is not expensive paid. However, you do not have access to all areas of the park. We will have to pay what is a little unfortunate otherwise it is a beautiful park but for tourists. If you want to see traditional houses, you can directly go to the city of Santana 🙂.

We visited after a stop in Santana, our kids enjoyed it (2,4 and 6)

Eldest was distraught at the short amount of time she got to drive the radio controlled boat, and was asking for her euro back. I told her there were no refunds and that it was a valuable lesson in value for money. Two minutes was very stingy when we were the only people there.

The cinema experience was cheeky too, we paid (adults) €7 each to basically watch an advert for all the fun things to do in Madeira.

The AFrame houses were cute and we got some fun photos of the kids in those and on a giant banana.

The farm bit was odd. All of the ladies on the site were very polite and welcoming, the guy running the farm was not a people person. He also didn’t seem to care much about the chickens, many of which, including the cockerel, which was limping and appeared to have bumble foot, had feathers missing down to bare skin. Rabbits, goats and ostriches seemed in better condition, but the ostriches had no space to run, which is sad.

Large parts of the site were shut. Overall worth a visit with young children, but needs a bit of work.

At no attraction in Madeira was I as unsettled in advance as at the parque thematico. Opinions are so different and I was very unsure whether to go, let alone which ticket option to choose.
I would like to share my experiences here:
Accessibility is easy with a rental car and parking is fortunately free and especially exceptionally abundant.
Even before entering the complex you should definitely stop at the small, sweet cafe, it was very special, both the place itself and the delicious, cheap snacks and drinks.
We finally chose the all inclusive ticket for all areas and I think in hindsight that makes sense if you come already.
However, you can also take the Basic Ticket and spontaneously top up within the facility.
Well, overall it won't be very exciting but it's all really nicely done and certainly worth a trip especially with children.
For us it was the first day on the island and as an entry optimal. You do what but can not immediately hike to the highest peak.
It's just a nice walk through a well-kept complex, you can see some great plants, feed fish, boat, watch a movie about the island, watch Santana's cottage, take a little ride through the history of Madeira with you, there is a playground, a small "café" and a few animal enclosures with goats, ostriches, pigs, rabbits, chickens and (unfortunately very unkempt and in questionable condition) donkeys.
We basically had a good time here, partly because it was not particularly well attended at the moment.
There is no must see on the island but can be considered quite well!

This place looks like it should be something, Geared up for big crowds with lots of turnstiles as you walk in, yet the place is empty like a ghost town, when walking through the endurance,
Yes it's cheap but for a reason. We took and 8 year old, a 11 year old and a 15 year old they all thought it was very very dull, half heartedly slapped together to try and attract tourists to pay.

Save your money it's not what you think it is.

In a nutshell it's boating lake, a play area and some houses to walk ina and out of full of traditional clothing and items.

The park offers a pair of typical cottages. There is an admission package for 12€ pp which includes everything (except the toilet use) and one for 3€ (you can buy individual items on site). For a walk it is nicely done and I think that families with children will get their money's worth (boating on a small pond, playground,...)
For adults, the small ticket is enough.

The park is very pretty and the different activities are fun. On Saturday January 20, 2024 I was received by Aissam at the “discovery of the islands” pavilion. He works there and he welcomed me very well and explained to me the whole history of the discovery of Porto Santo and Madeira, the culture, the ancient dwellings, the gastronomy... He was incredibly kind and made my trip even better. If you pass by, don’t hesitate to talk to him, he will be happy to welcome you to this pretty park. Thanks again Aissam

Since we are staying in Santana, we almost felt it was our duty to visit this park. Overall, it seems oversized. They were probably expecting a lot of visitors here. There are lots of parking spaces and toilets. Entry was free, but you pay for the individual entertainment. But these are primarily suitable for children. At least some of the customs are well explained and presented.
The park is clean and beautifully planted and looks well-kept. There were only a few visitors. Was it because it was a dull day or because it was the end of the holidays? They need to come up with more for adults to attract visitors. The souvenir shop was well-stocked and hardly kitschy.

Don't bother going there... Park is a shame... It looks abandoned... €2 for entry without any activity... In other words, just walk around the park... €0.50 per person to go the bathroom??? Is it necessary to pay for the air you breathe too??
What a waste of time and money

This is nice place if you are younger than 7 years. There is beautiful modern garden, very nicely deigned landscape. Also there can be seen watermill and windmill and actually the farm section is cute. Good thing is also section with "classical Madeira houses". But but the overall impression was unfortunately mediocre. Even my kids - one is 10 and other 12 were a bit disappointed.
