We visited this as part of the Kuranda all inclusive tour. We started off in the Centre and the staff and indigenous people we met were very friendly and informative. We spent a morning there during which time we watched a state of the art performance in the little theatre then watched some tribal dancing which we interacted in then... More

Although it says this is one of the largest aboriginal employers and that much money goes back to them and the community, all front desk and store staff at the time we visited were Asian which made me wonder about the above stated claim. Extremely basic information was shared and it felt like a cattle call (mooooo), everyone being herded... More

Did the Tjapukai Night Fire yesterday. It was simply GREAT!!! Really interesting, a lot of humor, loved that the crowd gets to interact, the performers were so good and friendly and the food at the dinner was amazing! Definitly one of the best activities i have done here Cairns!

After reading the reviews on here we decided to go. I honestly thought it was a huge waste of money. Firstly it's very commercial as you enter , the pre dinner drink and canapés terrible . We watched a few dancers and then making a fire and they get you to dance but only 4 people are picked out of... More

Thank you so much for an amazing night. The expirience was great and gave me a greater understanding to learn about the culture. food was amazing as I had never tasted crocodile, emu and kangaroo before. And the representatives were the best. Great performances and personally amazingly nice people. Thank you to all of you again.

We wanted to experience more about the Australian aboriginal culture but were running out of vacation time. We decided to visit the Tjapukai Aboriginal Cultural Park but didn't expect an authentic experience due to their location so close to the city and the large commercial looking building. We were very surprised and pleased by the entire experience. Our guide was... More

I went to Tjapukai as an add on to a Skyrail tour -- and the only disappointing thing was that I would have LOVED to spend more time there. Plan for a half day. The guides and performances were excellent and the sessions about medicinal plants and boomerangs were excellent. We got to practice throwing spears and boomerangs which was... More

Spent the day with a fantastic guide, we all had a brilliant time and laughed a lot as she showed us how to throw boomerangs and spears. No matter how many questions were asked, all of them were answered with a true feeling of someone wanting to share their knowledge. Such friendly team members throughout the village who work there...
