I went there with my family on a Sunday. The museum curator opened up the old diesel electric engine for us and gave us a personal tour. He then showed us a mountain of old railroad memorabiia in the little museum. Don't expect Smithsonian here....More

Impressive view looking down at the Rio Grande. Also the construction of the bridge is very interesting. Well worth seeing.

Most enjoyable way of getting there is hiking through the mountains and following the railroad tracks. I took a bus until Atenas park and from there GPS to a back route that would take me to the railroad tracks and followed those until the bridge...More

Go on the cut off to Hwy. 27, half way around the round about and follow your nose straight ahead to the tiny museum, which is seldom open. See the bridge on the way back, and hike over it, but why? You can see a quick... More
