Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We went in September 2022 and it was lovely and quiet. Good for families and couples. The sea was beautifully clear and the beach was clean. The sunbeds were 10 euros for two beds, a chair and an umbrella. A bargain in comparison to Lindos beach charging 25 euros! Plenty of taverna's and small supermarkets. Highly recommed.

Especially during June and July the beach is peaceful but after that more crowded with tourists and local sea/beach entrepreneurs, of course. There are sand and small stones, some rocks as well but the water is clear and the sea swimmable. There were many snorkelers as well.

Is's a shame, that there it is possible to rent boats without lisence. At the beach there are lots boats, every 20 Minute someone move away or leave. There is no more silence and it is dangerous for kids to swim I cannot understand, why the greek goverment accept that. It is a nice beach and not a habour.

Stegna beach isn't on the rader of most tourists. Also when you receive maps on the island Stegna beach isn't often mentioned. We went to have a look around and were pleasantly surprised of this nice to to busy beach.
There's seemingly only one road towards the beach and near the beach site it's not such a wide road. It wasn't however easy to find a little parking spot.
But we enjoyed very much our stay there.

Great beach to chill out at. A little bit stoney but lots of sand too and the water is beautiful. Sun-beds are reasonable at €10 with the umbrella. We hired a car while we were here and the drive down to the beach has an amazing. We also hired a boat for a couple of hours from Dreams. Brilliant!’

My favorit beach in Rhodos. Calm, not a lot of people, not a lot of young kids. Cosy restaurants and good snorkling. 10 euros for one umbrellas and 2 beds. Several showers

After my 3rd visit to Stegna in 6 years I have to say it feels a little bit like coming home.
Even after a couple of years (some of) the locals remember you, of course it is a game of give and take. Be friendly and open minded ad you will get back more than you expect.
Try to speak a few words in greek and the people will open up and talk to you.
Stegna is a really relaxed small village where the tides of time come and go without leaving many traces. Come here once and you have seen it all. Come here a second and 3rd time and enjoy the feeling of coming home to a place you love and know you are welcome as a guest and not just the tourist #34567 bringing another bag of money.
There is all sort of apartments for rent and a small all inclusive complex at the end of the bay.
A couple of good tavernas and 2 or 3 small mini markets. Ideal for going out one day and cooking home the other night.
In autumn the place is very nice, not too many people, but the locals are still very friendly after a long summer tourist season.

The end of this beach which is closes to the "start" of Stegna is not the best.....but walk to the far end and it is great! The beach is mostly sandy, but at the far end you can get a lot of rock and shingle, but avoiding that particular bit there is sand and there are rocks to snorkel around, with fish to see. Here the water is better quality too - the other end is close to a little river and is not always crystal clear. The sunbeds are not expensive 7 euros for two and an umbrella. They are not placed too close together either. If you go to the furthest extent of this beach it is owned/frequented by the holidaymakers from Stegna's one and only (please may it stay at that) All Inclusive Complex. Here the beds are cheek by jowl and people are pressed in like sardines. However, avoiding that, it is very picturesque with the huge towering rocks at the edge of the bay. It is quiet - nobody has had the clever idea of piping in rock music (please may that also remain the same). The lady who owned the particular beds which we used was very pleasant, I tried to speak a few words of Greek to her, and asked how she was. She brought us presents of peaches and watermelon. What's not to like?

Lovely peaceful beach. We stopped by here on our way back from Lindos. Long hill drive down, the road looked like fresh tarmac, not sure if it has recently been done ? Our little Aygo struggled to get back up with two of us in first gear! If you have a car full and unpowered car or moped you may struggle!
