A very fine site but spoilt by pushy solicitation of donations. Well worth contributing but its voluntary and one shouldn't feel under pressure. Nice tea rooms ~ go outside drink your tea with the fine view of the minstet

I needed somewhere cool to take my 96 year old gran on a hot day.... we had a good look round and lit a few candles for family past and present... then had lunch at the Minster cafe... the food was excellent and well priced.

This is a very nice Norman church, with Gothic extensions. Not crowded, with a nice verger to answer questions. Not pushy in asking for money. Well worth a visit.

With a beautiful garden to one side of the Minster, a beautiful additional visitor centre/rooms, this is a lovely place to explore and learn more about English history. Didn't get the opportunity to fully explore the Minster itself as there was a service in progress,...More
