Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I was a few years ago there and now again. It unfortunately changed to bad. At the time there was a real beach restaurant atmosphere where it was nice to sit and having a coffee. This year it was strange. All areas were restricted. I was not allowed to sit inside to get a drink, just when you eat a meal you could enter. I had to sit on the terasse. Very poor management now. What a shame.

Really atmospheric with stunning scenery, huge wide open spaces and incredible waves. Definitely worth visiting for a long walk. It was empty in November but I’m guessing the hugeness is a welcome relief in summer when many beaches are jam-packed.

This is a wild beach favoured by surfers. plenty of room here and a beach bar. Tall cliffs fall steeply to the beach. The beach walk is several kilometres if the tide is right. Well worth the effort to get here. Away from the main area by the bar, swimming attire becomes less obvious when you turn right (north) on reaching the sea.

We love this beach but miss the days when it was less popular. The problem now is the cars that come late now park all the way down the entrance road making it single track; anyone trying to leave can end up reversing all the way down the hill to make way for big flash cars who don't even thank you for doing so. I liked this beach a bit better when it was less discovered, but it is still beautiful and out of season: wonderful. The restaurant is very popular and run by a very intelligent guy who will tell you when it is safe to swim and when you'd better just have a drink, enjoy the view & go home.

The beach itself was nice. Very busy, and the sand was not as clean. Lots of pebbles and rocks. Be careful as I bruised my toe by hitting an earthed pebble. Also the parking is not vast. Arrive early or be prepared to wait for a parking space. Can get clogged up while people wait for people to leave.

I think it is the best beach in Algavre. For surfers and surf lovers it is a paradise. Long beach, clean water, golden sand and misty atmosphere from the waves crashing on the rocks. I stayed for one hour or so but if I had more time I would spend a day there.

Lovely beach tucked away from the more commercial beaches along the Algarve. Lots of surfers - experienced and learning. Pretty chilled atmosphere and a great beachbar that does the most amazing grilled sardines and chips!

Beautiful long beach on the Atlantic coast. The site is often shrouded in fog (in November) but it creates magical charm to the site. Do not miss this place!

Compared to other beaches in the neighbourhood this one is quiet. The restaurant is closed on Wednesdays, and there is nothing else to have a drink or eat some food, so take this into consideration.
