The new viewing tower has long been matter of dispute amongst natives but has turned out to be a great success. Stunning views, action, a slide down the highest wooden tower of the world (?)... Best tourist attraction around.

The view is really amazing on Wöhrtersee and the nearby landscape. There is the possibility to go up by stairs or lift and to come back even by a slide. The price, 11 €, is indeed too high but it deserves a visit.

The tower is really beautiful and architecturally interesting. You can go by elevator or the stairs. When you reach the top level, there are some nice panoramic views. On the way down, you can take a slope (tobogan). It is qiute expensive (8eurs - tower + 4eurs - slope for students)

There is a lot of observation towers in the World, but Pyramidenkogel is the highest made out of wood. On a good day (=clear , blue sky), you can admire three countries: Austria, Slovenia and Italy - you can even spot Marmolata in italian Dolomite Alps. There's also a kick in the inner center- a slide from upper level 64... More

Fantastic views and a must visit if anywhere near. 11 euro for an adult and 4 euro to use the slide... worth a go. There's a lift too.

great view on the surrounding area, and the slide is fun!! :) you can go up to the tower by elevator or by foot on the stairs. then take the slide downstairs (optional!) :) it takes only ca. 20 sec, but you're in a dark tunnel and the tube is steep, so absolutely fun! it requires an extra ticket, though.... Great views of the lake and the countryside on the other side, the tower itself is very nice and you can take slide to get down (for extra charge).

Well worth a visit. Easy parking, quick elevator ride to the 10th level. Stairway from the 10th up to the 11th and 12th platforms available. You'll have a 360-degree panorama over the entire region which is splendid. A wonderful attraction!

It throws you back 15.50 euros BUT worthwhile. The slide is in a pitchblack tube and you are quite accelerated as its a steep ride. The obs tower offers fantastic views. The main reason to go there is the slide!

The tower has great views of the surrounding area, and has a fun way out - via a slide in the center of the tower! The ride down is a bit turbulent, and not as fast as I would have expected it to be, but still worth doing. They seem to also have other ways down such as free fall... More
