Just a fantastic area with breath taking views, especially on a clear day. Absolutely beautiful countryside which has been untouched for centuries. There are caves and potholes for the adventurers among us.

I came back here after a very long period. Obviously the place shows some incipient signs of becoming comercially developed for tourism. Not always in the good sense. Take for example 7 Izvoare (7 springs). Some years ago it was a place where you would be able to relax in the middle of the nature, with the minimal touch of... More

Beautiful view, yet simple. The car road is very raw, but the view it's all worth it. Great place for nature lovers. Weekend itinerary

The Cerna Valley is a fairy tale place where you feel like a fairy tale character might show itself, a feeling I had almost the entire time I was there. The Cerna Valley is part of the Domogled-Valea Cernei National Park, which is easily reached from the spa town of Băile Herculane. There are is a large number of gorgeous... More

Awesome views from the road. It's better to go on foot, it takes some time, but the view is worth it. Travelling by car, the road is full of potholes, but not crowded.

A great place to relax, you have a lot of nice places to visit, including Baile Herculane where you can take a bath in thermal waters.

one can do rafting, hike on the nearby mountains, and enjoy the termal pools in Baile Herculane and then cool down in the Cerna river any time of the year.
